A good read for those who want to kill some time (long).

Here's a basic update:
So... I've had a semi- busy week. Recently got back in contact with the guy I get all my parts from and got a hold of a VLSD and z32 fuel pump. So far I've got the VLSD in (1997 J30 diff), and have broken the rear seal on the tranny so I'm ****ing fluid, which is ok since I'm getting a "new" tranny from Drifting Ricer since my tranny is 2 gears from destruction. Thus...

First fix:
For now, I've tilted the diff down to try to buy a little room by adding washers between the subframe and the front diff mounts. Hopefully this will make up for the extra 1/4" of diff length due to the ABS sensor. In the meantime, I've gotta locate an ABS driveshaft, or see if i can get a custom 1-peice shaft made before swapping the new tranny in.

Second "fix":
While I had some washers handy (large washers), and the rear of the car in the air, I figured I might as well try and fix the wheel hop coming from all that added traction. Basically, I stacked a smaller washer onto a really large one (as to not compress the subframe bushing completely... although... I guess that wouldn't be TOO bad to do...) and sandwhiched it between the lower seat and bushing (copied off of what a friend did to his S13).

Third fix:
So, while I was on a roll... I figured I might as well get to some other stuff I've been meaning to do: like fix my leaking TC bushings. Well... not much you can do to save the bushing once it's already leaked a bit of fluid out... and I'm way too cheap to replace it (waiting for some custom aluminum TC rods to get made by a friend), so i figured: crap the bushing and fill the sucker with polyurethane:

If it works, I'll do a writeup and post it in the tech session.... the suckers are still hanging in my kitchen.

And now... to load up some of the pics I've been meaning to load up:
Was at the "junkyard" and came across some interesting stuff. In no particular order or association with this thread:

Found on a Q45:

Found for sale for $250 (since i'll prolly go for the Q's :p, 5 lug, and would need a spacer i think):

Waiting for my first drift event coming next month:

And some turbos the size of your engine:

That's right... that 2nd turbo is sitting next to a tranny.

 and what do you plan to do with a turbo that size?!?
I'm digging the wheels, although I can't imagine the width to be anything to boast about. (Maybe 6.5" wide? if you're lucky!)
Speaking of wheels, I just got some 15*8.5 ~+15 for FREE. :D Can you say stretched 205 and fender-rubbing fun? Too bad they're different rims (same disk though) and different offset. one's higher by about 5mm. Heh. :o I'm running a 3mm spacer to compensate.
Stuff looks good! Enjoy your drift event (I'm sure you will)... who knows, one day you may even become one of us. :p

so is that polyurathane you used plyable? I hope you don't use those for too long. May cause more damage than it's worth.

The BBS mesh wheels are supposedly 15x7, and the ones on that Q45 have 215's on them... so they're at least 15x7, maybe 157.5 or 8, as far as i can tell

Yeah, I can still flex the joint a bit. This is just a temporary fix untill I get some adjustable TC rods. I'd have to wonder how much damage they could possibly do (as long as the poly doesn't crap out and fall off).
