hi there.. i just had my 97 kouki rb tuned. i was out of the country for awhile and now i'm back home. i was going for a drive but the car won't start. i jumped the battery and it started fine. i'm thinking of getting a new battery. will the tuning set up or the afc get affected if i take off the terminal from the current battery and put to a new one?
thank you..

There are many manufacturers and models of "afc". Ask the manufacturer of your "afc".

im sure its fine, you could always if your really scared hook jumper cables to your car battery terminals and a seperate battery while you swap it out... lol but i bet it is stored in the computer, its like your desktop computer, when you move/unplug it from its power source, do you loose all the music/files you illegally downloaded lol...

if you want you can just start the car before changing the battery....but you shouldn't lose any tuning settings either way unless you have some weird tuning setup.

thanks.. yeah i also thought settings is in the ecu and shouldn't get affected for replacing batteries. when i attached the charger to the batt, it was totally dead so i assumed its the same as not having a battery. just wanted some opinions. thanks guys..
