i just drove my friends bmw 325i(e30) today, and found it to be better in every way then my 1989 240sx. im seriously getting upset with the lack of power i have with my 240, and whats even more sad is my friend tells me that even with the best illegal engine swap, it will only be equal if not less power than his stock bmw. please someone tell me hes wrong :( this is worse than when i found out santa wasnt real :(... i cant stand the german elitist scene, but yet i am stangly attracted to it. i need a s13 intervention! help me!!

sell the s13 and get an e30. Seems like the only logical choice.

thats the thing though.. im into the drifting scene, and the 240 is basically the drift mascott, and idk how to break it to my dad when i come home with a bmw, a former professional 70's drifter from the philipines

Wait a tick our s13 brother is asking for help. Report him for being honest? oh well.
Look < I think its cool your dad was a pro drifter and that you are digging the e30. Its a good car but so is the s13. If anything you should do a little more research on beamers. I think they are a bit heavy. I own both a e30 and a 240 and love them both!!!!
also is your dad Mad Datsun Z Batista, If so I he was the ish in his day. My father always talks about him.

I had a S13240 before my E30
240 parts are way cheaper and more mods to do.
Get the 240 to learn on, way easier to work on and break/swap parts out.
There are even like 10xxxxxxxxxxx more shift knobs to change out than the E30. Which has like 4 of my internets searching :(
E30 is kinda pricey on parts, and make sure you change the timing belt or ask when its been replaced.
E30 feels pretty quick, maybe just as fast. Big swap for it is the S50 from the E36's.
This should help

well what do you expect? its a bmw man. but like everyone says.. maintaining it and buying new parts is hard.
Ok first off, its a beamer. No shit its going to be faster than a stock single cam 240. Its a fucking luxury car dumbass. Luxury sport at that. Ever seen a slow one?
Secondly you're comparing a 20k car (by today's standards) to a 30k car. I would think that all of this would be obvious. Maybe I just think too highly of intelligence.

Your problem might lie in the fact that your not putting enough effort into your current car. Or your basic lack of knowledge about your S13 in general has led you to this moment in time. You just joined up, and now you are confused, because you thought the ride would be downhill. And now you are giving up?

You are "strangely attracted to the German Elitist Scene" ? Being of German descent myself, i might normally take offense. But you sound like you are just rambling random shit out of your mouth. So i won't.

I wasn't aware there were professional drifters in the '70s, never mind in the Philippines.
So you are either posting on both accounts, or it was a slow Tuesday night and you and your buddy were e-jerkin each other off.
Either way this shit is retarded, but just for the sake of argument, a stock 325i weighs at least 200 pounds more than your s13 and has about 8 more horsepower.

Lol, your so up tight. I met the guy tonight and already your getting mad that im joking with him. Lol, please do research a 325i has 15-30 more hp than a 240sx depending on the year of the s13.
s13 weighs 2699 lb and 325i weighs between 2500-2850 lb.
well I guess your learning e-jurk!:Owned::Owned:
