After purchasing my first kouki s14, i want a set of coilovers that will be forever on the car. Something that is comfortable for daily driving (90 % of it usage).

I'm thinking about purchasing Stance LX+ because of their lower spring rates. i believe 7/5k? I chose this because after getting megan tracks before 10/9k i think(probaly wrong but very high) it was waaay to stiff for daily driving.

Personal experience with LX appreciated. Pictures too!! How are they at max stiff settings?

I know that GRPROS are gonna be better for track but how are they on the street? don't they come with a second set of springs that are softer?

what should i get?

I don't know how many guys you're going to find in here running LX's honestly...

I can't comment on the LX's but the GR+/GR+ Pros come with 9/7 and 8/6 springs. I had GR+ Pros on my last S14 and i used the 9/7 springs. It was a bit stiff, but totally fine for daily. I'm sure the 8/6 ones would suit you just fine if you decided to go the GR route.

I run GR+ Pros with 8/6 on street every day, it only starts to make you sore on long trips over 3+ hours to go to the track or something, otherwise I think they are great! As far as the LX's sure you can get those but if your gonna track your car at some point you may regret it.

i rode in a car with them and i really couldn't tell a difference between them and the gr's except when turning there was a tiny, tiny bit more roll. not sure what setting the dampers were on though, so that may have been a factor...

i'd say if you ever plan on tracking your car more than once a year, get the gr's. if it's strictly going to be a dd, get the lx's.

i got lx+ and i have them 0 in front and 0 in back... they are comfy, definetly a difference in comfort compared to my previous set up bc racing inverted set up. the bc racing one was noticeably stiffer, even when i maxed out the stiffness on the lx+ it was quite comfortable compared to my bc racing at settings of 0 front and 0 rears. i'd recommend getting the lx+ if your car is just for DD i don't ever track and even if i do i won't have the skills to get the most out of those track coilovers anyways so i don't regret my choice one bit. but, if you got mad skills why dont u get the gr+3 way, it lets you adjust it both track/ street it says. with the front at 0 and rears at 0 when i hit a dip my car does bounce up and down but i don't really feel it i can just see the car go up and down. but, that's only on the 10 freeway on so-cal..... there are like these elevated bumps all over the place so the car gets unsettled a lot. there is definetly a lot more body roll too when i changed up to these lx+ but, that's fine for me. i bought these coilovers because i do plan to keep them on the car forever like you plan to as well. i don't think you'll regret your purchase but, don't expect lexus or mercedes benz smooth suspension though, because it can still be sporty and not soft like a honda accord where you can't feel jack. i forgot how oem suspension feels, but from what i recall these ride a little similar to it but just more bouncy when you hit a pretty elevated bump. if not it's really well dampened in my oppinion.

previously on my old set up my back lumbar would always feel tense and get pained. now that i have these it went away so these are more comfortable says my back =), but i also think it's my cheap 97 kouki seats... kinda hard foam.... wish i had memory foam and then i'd be good =)

hope this review helps your decision. i just went on a limb and got it, worse thing i'd ahve to do is sell it back and lose 100-200 bucks since it;s stance resell cant be so bad. so i figured it was worth it =)

if you're in so-cal and want a test ride in the passenger seat u can hit me up and we can do it thats prolly best.

i've found that coils depend on your age...

if you are 35, go with more comfy...

if you're 25, stop being a hose bag and some coils in the 1000-1300 range.
