I got the water spots too. I'm gonna try buffing them out soon so I'll let you know how it goes.

I've got persistant water spots too. A lot of buffing will reduce them, I don't know of a way to get rid of them entirely.

Bar Keeper's Friend. Should be able to find it at home depot or maybe supermarket.. It's basically a fine scouring powder. Works WONDERS.

Water spots are caused by hard water. It's the calcium, iron, and lime that is found in that water that's left behind and forms spots. The best way to get them off glass is to use distilled white vinegar. If you're spots are really strong you might need to use pure vinegar. If the spots are mild, you might want to try dilluting the vinegar with water. You want it to be as mild as necesary to take off the spots. Either way, vinegar take it off.

Best wishes,
Matt

you can also use a clay bar, as it works wonders on removing water stains, overspray, etc from windows and body panels. you can get meguiars california clay bar which includes showtime quick detailer and a 2oz bar of clay from walmart for about $13

You can apply a coat of raindance wax to the glass for prevention. To clean the current, there is an aeresol based (noCFCs) window cleaner that professional installers use from your local autozone and a microfiber cloth towel, you spray and let it sit for about 30 seconds, then buff the crap out of the stains.
