Recently I had my motor overheat on the freeway so i coasted home. I popped open my hood to see my top rad hose blew off the stem. After I fixed I temp. fixed the rad, every time I rev over 2k, my engine has a higher pitched rev than before. Are these possible engine issues?
appreciate it.

I checked my oil and didnt see any milky discoloration either, but i havent completely ruled out head gasket.

Take the belts off and check the pulleys. Crank engine and listen for the noise. If noise is gone then your water pump may be bad.

Good call on the water pump diagnosis.
Also make sure to fill up your system with water, with the radiator cap off, start the motor and rev it with your hand while standing in front of the radiator. If the radiator starts bubbling up violently and overflowing out the top with LOTS of air bubbles, then you need to do a leak down or compression check when engine is semi-cold and see if you have a head gasket leak.
