The VR38 DETT displaces 3,799cc, uses 24 valves with variable timing on the intakes and dual overhead camshafts. With the aid of two parallel Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries turbochargers delivering a maximum boost of 17.4 PSI it develops 474 HP at 6,400 RPM and 434 Lb-Ft between 3,200 and 5,300 RPM.
