i need help. i just started driving my car again and now sometimes i have a hard time shifting. when i got home today i put the car in neutral and opened the garage and when i went to move it in the garage it wouldnt shift into gear. it would go in any gear. and when i tried to shift it felt like it wanted to move before it went into gear. could this be the clutch slave cylinder? i had just changed the clutch and transmission fluid about 500 miles ago and it happened a few times and now its getting more frequent. let me know any questions that will help me figure this out. thank you.

blitz single plate clutch
clutch is firm and grips good. nearly flawless shifting while moving. this only seems to happen when i come to a stop and put the car in neutral. altho sometimes when im slowed down fairly slow it might have a problem shifting to first...around 5mph or less

Is the clutch pedal really loose?

nothing wrong with the pedal. nice and stiff as it should be with the clutch i have. salve cylinder was a suspect of mine but im not really sure how i can check it without just replacing it...any way just to check it? id hate to spend about 150 and still have the problem...

just wondering if it really could be the salve cylinder. the car wont shift hot with the car on but will shift just fine once the car is off. turn it right back on and the car wont shift. i was thinking about it but i cant figure a reason why the slave cylinder can cause a prob like this. im about to go out and buy a new one for lack of ideas. maybe if someone can explain to me how the salve cylinder can make this happen it would ease my mind. ty.

When you try to shift, do your gears grind a little? Even when you try to put it in reverse?

never grind. but i think i have the problem worked out. i didnt know this but it seems you cant raise the clutch as much as you want. there seems to be a point where if you raise it too much the clutch somehow engages again. i still have to play with it a bit more to get it to a good spot but im atleast able to shift now. altho my clutch seems a bit too soft for what i have installed.....oh well.
