im looking into getting some ebay sus, want to know from anyone who runs them (once again no megan or godspped.)

here are the three that im looking at, all comprable prices.

from what i know of the yonaka's other people on mazda and hondah forums have been having pretty decent luck with them. any one here run them. i love how low they claim to go, 4 inches. damn thats low.

also the k sports, a friend of mine runs them on his sentra and they seem to be pretty nice as well, but idk how they would stand up to the abuse of sliding....

and as for the d2's havent really heard anything about them,

so here are the choices im lookin at,

yonaka tc2 Yonaka Nissan 240SX S13 Coilovers 89-94 Spec II TC2:eBay Motors (item 380184131867 end time Jan-01-10 13:43:53 PST) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yonaka-Nissan-240SX-S13-Coilovers-89-94-Spec-II-TC2_W0QQitemZ380184131867QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors _Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item5884bd791b)

d2 89-94 240SX S13 D2 Springs Adjustable Coilover Kit:eBay Motors (item 290352385094 end time Dec-20-09 22:41:55 PST) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/89-94-240SX-S13-D2-Springs-Adjustable-Coilover-Kit_W0QQitemZ290352385094QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors _Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item439a59cc46)

k sport pro 89-94 240sx Ksport Adjustable Suspension Coilover Kit:eBay Motors (item 170371275484 end time Dec-09-09 15:24:39 PST) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/89-94-240sx-Ksport-Adjustable-Suspension-Coilover-Kit_W0QQitemZ170371275484QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors _Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item27aaeb5adc)

or the next up in price is these guys....
stance lx+ http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/STANCE-LX-COILOVERS-NISSAN-240SX-S13-89-94-180SX-SILVIA_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem4837b1921bQQitem Z310172029467QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fA ccessories

of the 3 if they were made by the same compant i would go with the yonaka's they look a tab bit beefyer. crazy adjustability and a 1 year factory warrenty for defectiveness.

what do you guys think? (besides buy some 2500+sus.)

There's this wonderful thing called grammar. Use it sometime.

How many times has this battle gone on? You get what you pay for. D2's don't go that low (or have good valving), Those crappy looking Yonaka things look like pieces of crap, and Ksports have always been junk.

k sports aren't bad, I've been running them on my car for the past 4 years and some change, as low as i can get the car and full stiff front and back and I have no issues with them whatsoever. I daily the car and drift it as well. I must be lucky or something?

Those Yonaka look okish in the pics accept for the rears have some gay tapering thing on the bottom mount so you probably cant thread it down too low.

You really wont regret it to just hold off alittle while and buy some Stance or PBMax coils. Really they quality will be much better and in the long run you will be happier.

what sup with these cheap wheels, cheap suspension thread lately???? They are cheap..cheap enough for you to not even care about the quality. Just buy them run them and blow them up.

Also, maybe you should look for some used coilovers. I have JIC flt a2's and I love them.

People are cheap, ignorant, and simply don't care about quality.

I thought I cheaped out a bit by getting Stance GR + Pros. They're a great bang for the bang coilover, but I wouldn't put them on a pedestal.
Eventually I'll save up for some Topline Aragostas or go with a custom Koni/Ground Control setup using Swift Springs.

Seriously, I am sick of seeing these retarded threads. If you wanna be cheap and kill yourself cut your springs and call it a day. This is not a cheap hobby and trying to squeeze every penny out of something ghetto is not worth it. I'm all for being cheap but I am not for cutting corners. With that being said,Ksports are decent for the price.(alot of people hate on them but I have seen good results from people as well), But if I were you spend the extra cash and get the stance, I have them in my car and I have been in alot of cars with coilovers and the stances rock, silky smooth, great rebound and build quality.

are you planning on tracking your car?
Ksports are shit, Megans and Godspeed are good for the price( I've been drifting and daily on Godspeed for over and year and a half and I loved them) Stance feel awesome and I've heard D2 are awesome to.

^ All that and you mention KSport at the end?

I would get Megans before KSport any day. I don't see how folks find it so difficult to save up just a little more and get KTS or Stance coilovers.

I hate posting in threads like this but seriously, all you guys saying "What's wrong with my (insert cheap ass coilovers here)? They ride fine blah blah blah."

Have no merit.

If you haven't ridden on BETTER QUALITY suspensions please shut up.

Just because it hasn't broken off your car, and feels better than STOCK 20 year old suspension, doesn't mean its better than GOOD QUALITY parts.

The cheapest SHITTIEST coils I've ever ridden on were TEIN SS.

Those absolutely sucked. But considering they were only 2 way adjustable (damping and preload [for ride height, which sucks btw])

I sold them 2 days after I bought them and bought some KTS coilovers (GREAT ENTRY LEVEL COILOVERS BACK IN 2006 BTW)

Since then, I've had Tein Super Drift and Stance GR+

I've never messed with any of the cheap ass bullshit coilovers because I never had to, I saved up, bought used parts and sold used parts to get new better parts.

You guys really should learn how to do that instead of dealing with this bullshit ebay crap.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again... If you don't have the money for the name brand shit, and want the cheap way out, sell your fucking car. You have no reason to go cheap and buy these shitty companies parts. But most of you are kids and don't understand what it means to have quality parts.

My coilovers cost 1500 bucks brand new, too much for you pansies? If you can't spend that on quality coilovers, or rims for that matter, then sell your POS and get the fuck off this forum.

Suspension is one of those things that you shouldn't really cheap out on. Safety is a big concern to me.

Have you ever seen defective coilovers that have failed and look bent to shit? I know that it's not only the no-name brands that have defects and failures... but i'm guy that likes to play the numbers.

I've never liked the idead of shelling out $1500 on a set of well known, great performing coilovers, because i'm a cheap bastard. Back when the yen rate was up, I purchased New KTS coils for ~US$650 when I was in Japan. I just payed $975 for Fortune Auto coils.

If you already have ~$600 saved up for coils, wait another 2 paychecks or so for the good shit. Buy blockbuster items first before you buy the little shit and knick nacks for your car.

ManoNegra
12-09-2009, 08:10 AM
$1500 doesn't buy you 'the good shit', it buys you mediocre suspension.
Maybe my idea of quality isn't the same the majority seems to have nowadays.
Zeal, Cusco, KW, AST, Mothon, Ohlins - that is the good shit

very true mano, but like i said there is nothing wrong with buying used good shit. like my JIC's for example, they aren't the best, but i'm not a pro drifter....they are great for me because i daily and slide my car and i can just adjust the dampening and it's great.

Without good suspension your car will drive/look/feel horrible.

CLOSE THIS THREAD.

This is just ridiculous.
These "I'm a cheap ass, help me choose the least shitty of these shitty parts" threads are more annoying for the ensuing argument than they are for the question that births them.
It would be so easier if people would just IGNORE them.
