hello, my wheel is screeching and it may be beacause my power steering fluid is on the low side. anyhow, i bought DEXRON III
(since the manual recomends DEXRON II) now what i am wondering is does the s14 use automatic transmission fluid for its power steering like some other cars? cuz this DEXRON III stuff IS automatic transmission fluid and not power steering fluid, so am i ok?? thanks to all who reaply!!

Yeah, you're fine. You always use ATF in Nissan PS systems. Dexron III is just the lastest & greatest. You're doing it right, except that you're posting a tech thread in CHAT!!!

and one more note. iirc, differential and manual transmission fluid is totally different from brake/clutch fluid and automatic transmision fluid. i just dont know what the name/designation for the fluids you use for differentials. differential fluid?

Not entirely. PS fluid is thinner than ATF. And ATF is generally red while most PS fluids are clear. Use ATF in your Nissan steering system. But don't use PS fluid in an automagic tranny. Got it?
And diff fluid is the same as tranny fluid (both are Gear Oil).
