my 3 favorite rims are advan 3-spoke(series 3 i think), gram lights, and 5zigen typhoons
all would look great on a s13, not sure if you can get the all in 4 lug though. but worst case, do the the 5-lug swap

low offset = good for 240
high offset = ricey cheap wheels (copies) made for USDM dorifuto club.

Yeah man these jokers are just messin with ya. I guess they are just trying to say get whatever you like. I myself like the volk gramlights 17x7.5 with a +22 offset. I also dig the oldschool rims with low offsets like ssr formula mesh, watanabe rs8s, and longchamps. Good stuff!

i like meshes, and things like panasports and watanabe. black/anthracite on all colors, and gold on darker color cars.

I want some 20 inch lorenzos on my benzo smokin on some enzo. j/k. cant decide wat i want but almost any 18" with a super wide azz lip and really flush ofset would be nice.
:p Sorry, yes, I was clowning around. If you knew I ran 15*7 +5 with 6mm spacers, you might've realized... heh heh, but most people don't know that! My bad. :D
Seriously, if you want 17 or 18, I'd say go for 17*9 +25, wrap it in some 225/40/17 rubber and roll around with that supa wheel setup. My personal favorite wheel setup would probably be 16*8.5 +18 with 205/55/16 tires all 'round. :droooooool:

Out of curiosity, why do you give two flying turds about what wheels *WE* like? We don't own your car. We're not modifying it. I should HOPE that you're modifying your car to make us happy. If that's the case, then you need to get a life and stop trying to please people. If you're not modifying your car to please us, then why bother asking us? Make up your own mind about which wheels *YOU* like.
I know what wheels I like, and I decided on my favorites on my own!

-Kevin You got it all wrong. This was just a thread to find out what most ppl like as to what trends are new. The rims I'm getting, which is something I can afford hasn't even been metioned on this thread yet and no it isn't a knock off. I guess you can see where I'm going with this.

Not really. Maybe you've got a wheel in mind that isn't wildly popular or something. Maybe you're trying to figure out what's trendy. I'm not quite sure.

Plus most ppl on the board like low offset wheels so this is where I pick up good data.

and MrMeph (Kevin) was trying to say that it's totally pointless for you to ask OTHER PEOPLE for opinions on aesthetic improvements. if you had a question like:
I'm colorblind...do Gold CE28Ns look good on my Banana Yellow 240?
-or-
will a set of +22 offset, "C" disk Gram Lights clear my Z brakes?
These are valid, non-subjective questions. You're asking us to share what we think looks good. Now, obviously this happens a lot, but Kevin's just saying that it's rather pointless. A better tactic (with more tangible results) might be to give the list 3-5 wheel choices and ask for an opinion of the favorite. But even that doesn't show who YOU are. Buy what YOU want, and be happy with it. And if you change your mind, that's fine. Don't make your car pretty so someone online uses it for their wallpaper or something.

Just answer the kids question. He didn't come here to listen to you people bitch and moan about the state of affairs in the ricer world. He just wanted some input on some rims, not your bitching of the day. I mean come on, if you don't have anything to add then shut the H*ll up. Do you guys like to whine just so you can hear yourself speak? Give the kid a break, add something to the post, or don't F*ckin say anything at all.
Personally I like Typhoons and any other split 5's. Especially upfront. With some spacers and tucked under a fender flare(JUN type) Out back I would like some older mesh types or even a newer rim but something with some real Lip. 17's with 45 series upfront and 15 or 16's out back with a 60 or a 50 series tire. Now Offset is a different issue, not real sure what tto go with on that. Final link to the puzzle I guess.
That is my 2 cents. Feel free to give constructive feedback. That's what it's about. I hope.:(

Sorry, sir! Didn't mean to upset YOU, sir.
As far as us being a bunch of 'homo's', perhaps some of us are - the fact that you're calling us homos and meaning it as an insult is derogatory to homosexuals and I won't stand for it. You're showing your maturity level very clearly by posting stuff like this. Go read uiuc240's post. HE understood what I was getting at.
I suggest you watch your words and think before you speak (type). Also, I recommend you actually read what people type before flaming them. Go back and look at the post that says 'My $.02' at the top. Does that statement not make it clear that I was expressing <my opinion>, and not attacking that person?
Long story short, you need to grow up. If you don't, you'll find yourself banned.

Bring it on Mr "a*shole" And I'm gay myself so I think I know whats up on the homo circuit. The guy asked a simple question and you, we have turned it into a philosophical argument of style and individual taste. Isn't there something to be said for making a simple task overly complex. The kid is just looking for some input from people he has respect for and he looks at as peers. Your ****ed at him because he wants a opinion from you because he thinks you might have more knowledge then him on the subject. You are bashing him for asking for help. That is very borderline disgusting. As far as the homo bit, yes it was childish and derogatory and I am sorry. I just get heated when you guys fry somebody who comes to you in good faith. You should be happy that he holds in such a honorable position. I will edit out the distastful comments I put out earlier. Please just keep what i said In mind.

Agreed. Opinion or not, its post like mrmephs that turn a calm simple question into a flame war. I agree partly with Autodestruct, the guy asked a simple question that can be given a simple answer. "If you have nothing nice to say, dont say anything at all" Maybe driftk2000 asked such a general question so as to get an idea of what rims will fit well on an s13. He can see what everyone else is using, and see what common offsets and wheel widths they have. He can get an idea of what wheels fit best, and then make a better decision on what to choose from there.

he's getting flak, b/c he start3ed a topic that has been beat to death in the last month or so. most of us are tired of hearing it. There are more threads on wheels than I can even think about. He can get a good idea of what wheels to use by doing a search.
some people are overly sensitive, and can't take a little jab here and there. We treat eacch other like we're good friends around here. If your friends can't give you hell about something.. then who can? It's kind of like an initiation. everybody gets roasted at least once for asking stoopid questions. I do mean everybody.
So get off your high horse, and lighten up.

AutoDestruct and Stee Flo, you're right on point and helped the purpose of this thread. Thanks for not making smart azz remarks like some hot shots do for whatever reason. My questions have been answered. After searching around for pictures and reading through this thread, I concluded that for me, I should ride on wheels with some lip to it. I collected the data that I need and have decided to save up more dough for some better wheels.
...And some say my question is "POINTLESS?"

Look, I'm not flaming anyone. I don't understand why everyone is getting so upset about this.
If you want to know what different wheels look like or what fits, look in the gallery, use the search function, check the manufacturer's websites, check google, etc. By the time you've exhausted all those options, you're going to have a MUCH better idea as to what you want, and then you can go to tech and ask about offsets. I have never ONCE given and grief to anyone asking about what offset they should use with a particular wheel.
Charles is right. This topic HAS been beaten to death.

Here's a quick case in point. I'm too lazy right now to find more examples.
http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?s=&threadid=28519
Honestly it's not so much simply a 'which wheel should i get' problem as it is a 'which <enter ANY part/tool/paint/motor/etc here> should i get?' problem.
Too many people don't bother to do their own research and figure out what they like for themselves. There's nothing wrong with asking for ideas, but at least do some footwork first and talk about the things you're thinking about and the pros and cons of each, or whether ot not it'll work.
I think it's mainly an issue of people being lazy. I'm lazy too, but I don't post a thread every time I have a question about something.
Feel free to say I think i'm on a high horse and that i like to pick on newbs or whatever. I don't care. I AM an asshole and I freely admit to it, but it doesn't change the fact that I DO help people and put forth effort in help cut down on the BS in this forum.
Think of me what you like, but please put forth effort in your quest for knowledge.
