I picked up an S14 to do a VQ swap on. I have the VQ and 6spd but may not start that part of the project imediately. The car had a leaking gas tank when I got it. I removed the old tank and thought I might as well replace the fuel pump while the tank was out since I would probbaly have to upgrade to a higher volume pump for the VQ.
Here is the question: Will the stock KA need a regulator or will the KA not care. Maybe the new pump is higher volume but similar pressure. The new pump is a walbro 255. Let me know what you think.

If you're really worried, just run a fuel pressure gauge once you get everything running. If you see it fall off in high RPM you'll know what's up.

I'm sure you'll be fine with the 255
