I have a 95 S14 with a bad driver side window motor, can anyone give me detailed instructions on how to remove and replace the motor,Do I have to remove the complete regulator assembly?I have a FSM but all I can find is how to check the wiring, nothing about actually removing the motor!!!

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you sure it’s the motor and not a switch, window amp, or a fuse? Last thing you want to do is change a good part.

Take your door panel off and apply 12v to the window motor. But if you are sure it’s the motor that’s bad you'll have to
1. Unbolt the window from the rail. Secure the window in the full up position.
2. Remove the bolts securing the window regulator from the door
3. Collapse assembly add remove through the bottom
4. Remove old motor and install new one
I think thats everything for the removal process but im going off of memory.

^ You are correct. It's a five minute process at the very most.

Replace the Amplifier first. They are known culprits(sp) on 95's.

I replaced the motor 1st and still nothing, only realize later that the amplifier for the motor goes bad easily.
...mine smelled like old beer :)

Im sure its the motor,I put a test light accross the Plug that goes to the motor and when I hit the switch up or down it lights so I'm getting power,I also applied 12v direct to the motor - nothing!
Can I remove the collapsed regulator assembly through the speaker opening?

No, but you will have to remove the speaker housing for ease of access. Once the regulator is collapsed remove it through the rectangle opening to the left of the speaker opening.

Actually, no, you do not have the remove the speaker bracket at all. Unless you like doing extra work. The window attachment points to the regulator are past the speaker opening.

I don't remember exactly how I did the window motor swap (back in 2004)...but I don't remember having to remove the regulator...just the motor.

If that doesn't make sense it's just because i'm old and forgetful. :)
