Its featured on some sort of site on a weekly basis, someone literally can take it and just ride out the publicity and make quite a bit of money id assume. Im just looking to sell it for a down payment on a race chassis at this point. Please help me sell this and spread the word everywhere .

This car is ready to go. Already MASS INTEREST from multiple magazines. Johnathan Wong from superstreet being one .
Here’s the details….
Purchased in late 01 with 36k miles from Superior Acura, Cincinnati Ohio as a certified lease return. Owned, garaged, serviced and maintained since purchase date with EXTREME knowledge of this particular platform and engine/car. Currently this car has around 140k on the chassis, however id have to say the mileage is unknown because i have replaced the stock cluster with an optitron cluster from a jdm saber at around 138k.
This car is RARELY driven(but still drives like stock and has been daily driven for days at a time on occasion when the weather is nice) and all parts are nearly brand new with under 3k miles since they have been installed. This car sits in my garage on jack stands under a cover (guarded my high velocity firepower for those theives out there lurking).
The only reason I am selling this car, is because I need room in the garage to fabricate the other 3 cars I currently own, and rarely have time to drive this anymore.
Engine: Stock
The engine in the car is actually the stock motor it came with. Around 80k miles, I put together a built high compression motor and transmission setup for nitrous, and used it for a few years. When I decided to move on and sell this car, I sold this built engine along with the nitrous kit, and re-installed the original stock motor. This engine has estimated 80k miles and has never been ran hard, it was removed before this car was even modified and stored.. It has had the timing belt, water pump, serpentine belt, tensioner, fuel filter, and egr replaced. This engine runs smooth with 0 engine lights and still gets 25+mpg depending on city or highway. Routinely change oil every 3k miles with mobil 1 fully synthetic 10w30.
Transmission: Stock
The transmission was replaced when the engine was sold. I replaced the transmission with a certified used transmission with 55k miles out of a 98 3.2 tl. This transmission shifts smooth as butter has ZERO issues, and most definitely has the mileage that it states, I pulled it from the donor car and looked at the title, condition, and odometer.
Suspension
(everything nearly brand new. replaced under 3000 miles ago)
* Koni Yellow SPSS2 race shocks for 96 accord. These have been sent and modified from stock, they are shortened for the TL since there is no such thing as a shock even made for a 96-98 3.2 TL from Koni.
* Ground control custom coilover kit. These coilovers are custom setup for the koni struts and were entirely ordered one off custom for this car. I ordered 7 inch threaded collars instead of the off the shelf ground control kits 4 inch ones. With these you can raise and lower it more than usual. I chose 450 front springs and 400lb rears to keep a semi stiff yet VERY smooth ride. The bumpstops have been replaced by eibach ers bumpstops which are trimmed to exact specifications according to koni and ground control engineers. The suspension still uses factory top hats.
* SPC extreme rear upper control arms. These allow up to 4 degrees of inward or outward rear camber adjustment by extending or shortening the rear upper control arm.
* Megan racing rear lower control arm. These allow up to +- 3 degrees of camber adjustment in the rear also by extending or reducing the length of the rear lower control arm.(these are brand new and uninstalled and will come with the car, once these are installed you will be able to move the entire rear wheel around 5 inches inward or outward to allow for TOTAL rear wheel adjustment, and fitment of wheels all the way down to a -18mm offset 20 inch rear wheel
* Megan racing rear toe arms. These allow +-5 degrees of total toe adjustment when lowering or raising the car.
* Custom rear hubs using hubs from other Honda models to allow the removal of 32mm on each rear side to allow fitment of much more aggressive offset wheels.
* Suspension Techniques ¾ rear swaybar. This was adapted onto this car from a 96 accord. There is no rear swaybar made for 96-98 3.2 TL so I fabricated brackets to allow this to work. Its hassle free, however a small portion of it had to be covered with a heater hose that’s got 2 hose clamps around it. Otherwise when 4 passengers are inside, and you drive over bumps the exhaust can tink onto the swaybar.
* Rear lower tie bar. This was also used off a 96 accord and fabricated slightly to work. This fits with no complications.
Brakes (everything nearly brand new. Replaced less than 3000 miles ago)
* NSX factory calipers
* Carbotech standard brake pads
* Stock lines. (had stainless however, after a year they started leaking so I replaced them with factory units that are problem free)
* Brembo Legend GS thicker style front rotors. These replace the stock TL deals and allow less complications with warping the skinny stock style TL rotors.
* Brembo prelude rear rotors. These work with the custom rear hubs I use. This allows you to easily replace the brakes when the time comes.
* Carbotech rear brake pads. These are just standard 98 3.2 tl brake pads, no special part needed.
* Stock master cylinder and booster. At 1 inch models, there is not really a need to upgrade these units for the NSX brakes, they work exceptionally.
Exterior
* All original OEM factory Acura body panels
* No crazy fender gaps or any of that business.
* SEM Hot Rod Black paint job
* Inspired Motorsports full urethane lip kit. This company is not even around anymore, this is the ONLY urethane kit made for a ua3 and is nearly impossible to locate.
* Access Japan JDM Honda Saber rear deck spoiler with custom water jetted Honda-gram ornament powdercoated gold.
* Water jetted powder coated gold hearse scrolls (my own signature deal as a car builder, setup to match my other cars I’ve built, can take em off if you want)
* Satin Black housing headlights with OEM Lexus LS430 ballasts, bulbs and D2R retrofit adapters for OEM acura headlights.
* Satin Smoked amber JDM side markers
* Satin Smoked amber front bumper lights
* Satin Smoked amber signal rear USDM tail lights
* Satin smoked OEM JDM Saber window visors with all clips and seals
* Inspired motorsports urethane front grill
Wheels/Tires (Nearly brand new. 1500 miles of use since purchase)
* Work VS-XX (19x9??ultra low disc-4mm rear, 19x8 high disc(will clear BBK)+28mm front) I assembled these from individual pieces I ordered from work, so ive got no idea if the actual offset is what ive got listed. The rear inside lips are actually from a 19x9 -4mm offset wheel, the outside lip is from a 19x9 -12mm . Powdercoated centers black wrinkle powdercoat. Powdercoated gold lips, chrome 12point 8mm hardware added.
* Falken FK 452 235 35 19 tires. Stretched in rear, but these tires are designed with thicker sidewalls intended for stretching.
* Blox gold anodized extended lug nuts
Interior
* Optitron saber ua3 gauge cluster. 1200 dollar factory option only one ive EVER seen fabbed into usdm ua3. Took 3 years to even find this.
* Momo Monte carlo zebrano wood steering wheel with SRR road race 4 inch hub spacer and cruise control rewired to shift gate panel.
* 07 RSX Type S tan leather front seats (will give you stock ua tl seats out of the car also, just worn out) Never got around to making brackets for these, I have the stock tl seats in the car, however will give you these with purchase.
* OEM factory s2000 titanium shift knob and 04 rl chrome shift gate
* 01 integra gsr cd player and factory stereo(stock speakers need replacement, I don’t listen to radio much when im driving, so im not wasting money on it. New owner can “hot import nights” the audio system when they purchase, not me.
* 50% front driver windows, 50% entire windshield, 5% rear sides and rear windshield tint professionally installed
(Note)the rear seats, and all 4 door panels could use reupholstry in a few spots. Just normal wear and tear on a used car, but not BRAND NEW condition. The carpet has a few small stains here and there that have mostly been removed, however some residue is visible under heavy inspection, and car includes trimmed down 04 rl floor mats instead of the worn out tl ones. This car drives like a luxury car, yet still will absoloutely pounce on any turn you throw at it. No cost was spared when i built this car. It may have KONI coilovers instead of some apexi n1 circuit pros, but i had to have the Konis custom made for the car and apex did not offer that or i would have them on the car.
The wheels/tires alone were over 4500, and then i took brand new wheels and had them professionally redone for even more $$ to specs that no one else ive ever seen had. If someone does, im sure they just bit them off mine anyhow by this point.
The car itself i chose to build because, well no one else has one. Every one besides about 4 other 96-98 tls ive seen are total riced out junk. I figured i could build this platform and be "the 1st gen vip tl guy" not one of 500,000 jdm civics or whatever. I can assure you this car is one off. Every magazine editor ive shown pictures of it to wants to feature it.
Im a car builder myself in my free time, and honestly dont give a shit about magazines or any of that business anymore. Im married, and mainly im a major speed freak. I have a serious problem of modifying ANY CAR i own and if i own it long enough, im talking MAJOR MODIFY. This car started life out with me stock, and its where it is now. I simply never drive it. It sits in my garage on jackstands and i dont really use it like it could be getting used. Most of the parts are 3000 miles old associated with the suspension and brakes.
The body of the car has some dings and dents that age has brought it but nothing that the pictures online i have do not display clear as day, and the satin black paint job is not some $5000 BASF satin clear paint job. Its simply SEM hotrod black just like hotrods have. Its got a urethane aero kit so if you mack it on the curb or hit a ground hog it pops right back to its original position and you just repaint the shit and its good as new. Its not some airbrushed tyranisauris rex painted on some fiberglass kit thats salvage title the second you hit a squerrel with it requiring you to pay someone 4000 to fix it. Its built to be driven. I get razzed alot where i live by the cops, and im more into going fast so im putting this up for trade since its been kinda tough to sell it in the instant gratification style of selling like i enjoy.
Basically im interested in hearing what you have to trade. Im not really interested in stuff like some all motor gutted crx, or a ka junkyard turbo rusted out s13. Im looking for nice cars or cash.
Use your common sense on trades. This car has 13k in just parts put on it in the last year alone. Yes, we all know that with age anything loses value, but im sure i could hold onto this, have it featured in a magazine , and sell it in the spring MUCH easier. I just want to trade it for something else at this point. Ive had this car since like 01. It won 2nd place at nopi nationals in 02 and ive been tinkering with it since then. Theres no story behind it, im just tired of it is all.
Perfect car for someone to take, paint it their own color, refinish the wheels the color they choose, and they would have a car NO ONE has seen, that literally has everything done to it you could do.
Sorry for the wordy thread, i just figured since i had for sale adds up here and there, someone may be curious as to why. Im currently building a twin turbo (2x gt45r) 454ci lsx bowtie block/powerglide that was going to go into my rx7 that matches this tl, however plans are in the air on that. The initial plan was to sell this to pay for a race chassis for that project, but im willing to just trade this at this point to get in something a little faster to drive for the time being that takes less space to store.
Im sure 1 year from now i will SERIOUSLY regret this decision, but life will go on, and perhaps i can get another project to work on. Regardless of what you offer to trade, even if it had the entire car done, i would redo some stuff my own way. Thats just how car builders are, we all have our own ideas.
Please keep the critisizm to yourself. I dont really care what you think "would look better" or "what you dont like" about this car. Im just here to find some good offers and see what everyone has as far as interest goes.Initially i priced this car at 13k. I reduced my price to idiotic numbers before i realized i didnt really want to let it go that cheap so ive had the threads deleted/closed.
Shoot me some trade offers and thanks for the bandwidth.
