Bomex S14 Drift Spoiler????

I have looked around and can't find any pictures of the Bomex Drift Spoiler for the S14 other than this (and i'm not sure if that's even on an S14):

I have a bomex spoiler on my car. A lot of people tell me they like it. I think it only flows with the kouki body and looks horrible on a zenki. I've had it on my car for 3 or 4 years now. Next year I am planning on getting a wingless spoiler and going wingless or just a small lip spoiler.....not sure yet.

This spoiler = square shape

S14 Zenki front = rounded shape

S14a Kouki front = square shape

square + rounded = :nono:

square + square = :bigok:


I'm not really a fan of this spoiler on either S14, but it does seem to fit the S14a better.

Bomex has many types of spoilers for S14.
The one in the OP photo is NOT the same as everyone else who posted.
Look again and look at the Bomex website.

I was thinking the same thing. They are not the same wing. The point where it ends on the quarter panel is sharp on all the other picture. The OP's is alot rounder and even the tail end isn't as sharp.

I'm a wingless man and it looks horrible.

Exactly, all I see is the ones posted up. I want to see this wing on an S14(specificly on a Kouki), but can't find it. They look very different and is quite interesting. I want it for my car because I don't really like the one I have now.

Actually more like 14 years ago, when Japanese would run top speed on the highway next to the Tokyo bay, that's why it's call Wangan(bay side) wing.
They would need a wing that has more downforce.
Then drifting got popular and the drifter would put wings on to make their car look different then others(that's why you see wangan wing on drift cars in old japanese videos)
The Bomex type 1 is much better looking wing then ugly wing you posted and yours is the wing that's so 4 years ago. Get with the times.

The first wing is the Whale Type Bomex wing, the other one that everybody posted is the Wangan Style.

I never said 4 years ago in Japan. I was saying thats its so 4 years ago in the US.

And I respect your opinion on my spoiler and obviously its not for everyone. And also if you read my post, I said I want to go wingless or lip spoiler next year. Why do you think I said that? I I realize I'm not with the times.

Tell me about it. 18x11 in from and 18x13 in the rear with 40series tires I guess didn't help in this picture, but 30's all round should help some and I will not be maxing out the lowering due to were I live, but it will be lowered. Those wings that were posted look really ugly IMO and I would like to see some decent pictures of the first style I posted up like the S14.5 hatch.

To earch thier own, but this is what I am doing for now. I have built up the car from stock to what it looks like and runs like myself, I really don't like the way the stock wing looks with the 50mm+ Body. I wouldn't have asked to see another wing/spoiler if I was happy with stock one.

I don't think it looks to stupid with the RSR Race Springs, but what ever???? It actually brought it down about 1 1/2 to 2 inches in the front and 1 1/2 in the rear, AND I am still on 40 series tires. Anybody else with a picture of the bomex or wangan/Whale tale on Kouki's????

Dam I had that spoiler 7 years ago on my s14! So old I dont even have pictures, probably on my desktop that I havent turned on for the pass 2 years! lol... Looked sick with my veilside rear valence. But got sick of it after while and got a real kit
