what do you guy think about SMG and AMG... is it worth it... does it lower your 1/4 and improve shifting lag in races

Huh? I know a lot of abreviations.. but not those. What is shifting lag? Does it help which tranny? AT or MT?

SMG- seqenial manual gearbox... it's a clutch less manual
AMG- automatic manual gearbox... it's a clutch less manual also with an automatic together

it's not really shifting lag but a miss shift or things that can hurt your transmisson like not shifting right ... things like that

Hmm, dog boxes, eh? Would be neat, and really good for road racing (all that time shifting does add up), but they are $$$. I've never heard of people using them on 240's either, although I'm sure some people do, and that somebody out there makes them. Pretty popular in the Subaru world I think, their stock trannies are kinda weak though.

Yea.. I just didn't understand the abreviations.
Anyway.. I dont' believe that the shift lag is that bad. If you think so, try a B&M shifter first. It reduces the shift by 45% (from what I've been told by users), and is a nice shifter. I don't have personal experience with it, but it's a helluva lot cheaper than those tranny options.
