I tried researching (forum and web) and found nothing.
Has anyone had their gauges stop recognizing the sensors? My Oil Temp and Water Temp gauges stopped working. The needle would stay pinned to the right like there is no sensor on the gauge. Re-ran the wires same thing. I had a friend with the same gauges so I swapped them and his worked fine so basically my gauges are shot. 13 1/2 months after purchase conveniently 1 1/2 months past the warranty so Prosport told me to :fawk2: off
Anyone else have this happen to them? My other gauges are fine oil press, exhaust temp, boost and fuel press and they're all older than my oil and water temp gauges.

its a 40 dollar gauge man, take the hit and buy another one, if you wanted a quality gauge you would have gotten greddy, hks, apexi, defi, stri, autometer...

My oil pressure did that, turns out it was the big bulky sender....chucked that in the garbage.

Buy the premiums next time round. No problems with those for me, going on 1 1/2 years.

i have water temp, oil press. and oil temp and they all work great. Off topic but you guys that have the regular ones, did you wire it so they change colors at night?

That's what I found odd they both went at the same time.
I'd rather replace a $35 gauge than pay $250 for one. When I'm sponsored by HKS or Defi or Greddy I'll rock those gauges.
I wired mine to a 3-way switch. The green/whites can also appear red if you wire it correctly.

I've had their electric boost gauge before. Quality is good and very quiet. Been using it for a little less than half year and my tuner said it reads about 1-2 psi higher at full boost (I've heard usually electric gauges read a bit higher than the actual number because of the sensor unit), so I replaced it with something else, during idle and low boost they reads accurate though
I also have experience with their mechanical boost gauge too, they are decent, reads accurate and in good quality :D
Prosport gauges have been very popular in Evo and Wrx forum for few years, they are pretty good consider their price, much better than the glowshift gauges you get on ebay :/
They are a bit hard to read under day light (for the smoke lens version)

yeah..prosport is known to ahve crappy gauges..i bought a digital boost gauge from them..i know its not as accurate but i liked the way it looked..so it didn;t bother me..but i knew they were crap.

I had the connector not all the way in the sender and it popped out. The gauge needle started wandering. once replaced it was fine. Staying in one place I would have to say the sender went out not the gauge.

Thing is I had two new gauges from a friend and when I plugged those in they worked perfect on the same wiring same sensors so it has to be my gauges. Plus I already replaced all the wiring and sensors.

Because it's all about looks, who cares that they are used in every major racing organization due to their reliability and accuracy.
Just slap some JDM stickers on them, wrap them in zipties, and cover the faces with sparkly vinyl. You won't be able to read shit, but who cares, they'll look more "import oriented".
Weak argument Norm.

To you it might be about looks. To me its about preference. There is a difference. I just dont like autometer. I had defi link meters on my s14 and found them to be a bit overkill for me so i went with defi racer gauges on my s13. NEVER had a problem. And yes they look MUCH better imo. But then again they are expensive but in my experience u get what u pay for.

Weird.
Perhapss the sensors died somehow. Probably poor quality control...
I've NEVER had a problem with my meters. I guess that's what happens when you buy something od quality though....

Lol this is still going on, at the end of the day if you wanted a quality gauge you would have bought one, quit your bitchen about how shitty it is and either spend maybe another 30 bucks for another gauge from prosport, or spend some more cash and get a quality one, i was gonna go with prosport but i didnt want to be in the same boat as you for now i have autometer ultralight 2 gauges(work flawlessly) but soon enought im gonna get some Defi Blue Racer gauges...

I never claimed these were the best gauges on the planet or even close to it. I know what I bought. They are fairly accurate, cheap and look good that's all I need.
All I wanted to know is if anyone else had the same problem because I've never heard of it and I've dealt with Prosport for a while now.
I haven't decided what I'll do yet. Buy replacements or upgrade.
And I would go American before I pay 22,300YEN for one gauge lol.
