Anybody, Which is your favorite S13 Model, Fastback or Notchback or Sil-Eighty? Im in the market of getting one. Also, you think its possible to "make" a Sil-Eighty in the U.S. like Nissan did? Thanks!

Although the zenki fastback is growing on me (since its stuck in my garage :()

Sil-Eighty with S15 front. I still call it a Sil-Eighty not a Sil-1580 since it is technically a Silvia front and saying "15-80" is kinda lame to me.

Yeah... that with Kouki Taillights and Spoiler would be awesome, even though it is played out. But I would still get it if I was not trying to drift. Maybe when I get better and not crash so much.

Hey MorganS13, I thought it was funny but you have the same exact look that I have....actually your black paint looks a lot newer than mine and your rims are cleaner than mine. lol I mean I saw your pic and I went uh.....that looks exactly like my car but wayyy newer. Only difference is I got a enjukuracing sticker above my 240sx sticker.

haha, everytime i look at that picture i can't believe its the same car i drive everyday. the paint is pretty much new due to a front end accident 3 years ago and someone breaking in through the drivers side door 2 years ago. and the rims aren't so clean anymore, lol, but other than that its pretty much the same.. i prefer the stock look (obviously) :)

USDM: I honestly like the 1991+ S13 fastbacks and coupes the same in clean white. Love the pop-up headlights in the front.

JDM: 1996.5+ 180SX (kouki bumper/spoiler/taillights). Very sexy.

My favorite actual car is Dousan's. Chuki fastback with 4 lug front, 5 lug rear, zenki lip, lots of suspension work etc...

but my favorite potential car is a kouki look (Hotroad or Sexystyle aero) on Onevia! (USDM S13 coupe). I love it cause no one else does (except pgSPL, most of them like it :rolleyes: )

one of the main reasons i want the JDM S13 nose for my coupe is that i really don't like popups. and one of the two pop-up cars my family has is actually befitted with one of the nicest pop-up housing designs i've seen. i just hate the wind noise and such at night. maybe when i get my DIY sleepy-eye thingy hooked up i'll like it more, but we'll see :D

Whats up with all these slang names for our cars now? Shark Nose (saw that one yesterday), Notchnose, Pig Nose, and i've seen others that i can'ts recall right now. How is Pig Nose any less time consuming to write than fastback? just my 2 cents.

Favorite is the S13 Silvia with dual projector headlamps.... but for myself, being in the US, I wouldn't want to get into trying to convert the headlights for a proper LHD pattern. Just not worth the expense and hassle.

My second favorite is the Onevia with kouki bumper... someday when I'm out of debt and can afford frivolous things like bodywork, I'd like to get a kouki 180SX bumper (like the G-Grow knockoff that covers the fenders) for my coupe and repaint the car in something like pearl white metallic.

Well the term pignose doesnt refer to every fastback, only the zenki 89-90 front bumper with the "pig nostrils". When talking about looks, its better to be specific. My personal favorite s13s would be the kouki style 96-98.

I just like fastbacks.. the 89-90 with the optional front lip just looks aggressive.. the 91-94 looks soo smooth. the 96.5-98 180sx looks mean AND smooth!

I concurr! BUT an S15 Sileighty IS a Sileighty. It is a Silvia front on a 180SX rear. You can differentiate by calling it an S15 Sileighty if you want but it is still a Sileighty.

...and Sileighties ARE NOT played out in ANY form. They are and always will be one of the rarest vestiges of Nissan history.

not in california! i see a sil80 every few weeks especially in the LA area. at the meets. wow, too many. sil80 is what every newbie wants nowadays!

what i really like are the s15 sil80s. sexy.

THAT is played out? How many 240s do you see? 1 every few weeks? I see a couple daily, but that is far less that the Silvias and 180SXs. Played out? Give me a freakin break! They are much less common than S14s, S13s Silvias and such.

see on average near 5 a day
sil80 when im in LA. not much where i live. there are a few but i only drive about 40 miles MAX all day. so not that far. and its freway and not city. so yeah 2-5 240sx per day is quite a lot compared to most people in the US. s14 see maybe 2 MAX a day

I like Fastback 180SX so much that i wanna trade coupe even up. I've been looking around very hard. There is a dude up in Erie, PA that had a RHD Conversion S13 Silvia. It is gorgeous but my love for the Sileighty will never change ;)

dousan36 & gladhatter: Sorry for my poor choice of words to start this little debate between you two. I am like dousan36 who lives in SoCal and is used to seeing 240's (especially S13's) everyday where not seeing one would mean the world would end. :p

I guess what I meant to say was that the conversion would be too trendy. In either case it is real nice and when the time comes when I can get it, I will be happy. :)

yes Sileighty rear garnishes and sideglass were made by KidsHeart, but im almost positive that the one on Glads sons car is one-off[read:custom](which is super common in japan), and not from KidsHeart.

I personalyl like the USDM S14 from 95-96. O wait don't forget those two tone Silvia Q's. Those were hot to death. The next 240 i'm gettin will be a silver and gunmetal coupe. Dang, that will be off the chain
