I had a little of that this weekend. seemed like something is imbalanced.

Is engine running rough about halfway through the rpm range? I had this scenario, changed my plugs and wires with a quality set and most of the vibration was gone. my rpm range expanded and the engine ran smooth after. I would have sworn that it was the mounts.

I am not sure, but I was told the way to check your motor mounts was to carefully try to nudge your engine. For example, you can put your hands on the valve cover and see if you can budge it.

Be careful though not to break anything and make sure your engine is cold. ;)

It worked out great!!! A little vibration, but fixed the problem and I haven't had any problems since.

Here are the problems I had:

(same as "4-20sx") "whenever i start up the car...let it idle for abit...and then push the gas really fast..my whole car shakes..like it wiggles left to right"

also, when I am driving and i let off the gas and just coast, the shifter would pop out of gear.

I checked out my engine/tranny mounts and they were all "2 piece", they were all trash.

I bought a set of used mounts here on Zilvia and filled them with urethane and let them set over night. Put them on and all my troubles disapppeared (with a little added vibration)

would it be at all possible to remove and install the newly modified mounts with the engine still in the car? on a scale of 1-10 how difficult would that be?

yes, it is possible, that's how i did it.

On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the easiest) i'd say it's an 8

you just unbolt teh mounts and jack up the engine and they pop right off. It's just getting to the nuts on the mounts that is tricky. I just used a wrench, and it took a little time.

Yup! (sorry so late) Make sure you use the SR mounts, they are slightly different than the KA mounts. Good luck!
