Georgian College: Best diploma, degree programs & courses in Ontario (http://www.georgianc.on.ca)

I'm really thinking about going here for college next year. They have an Automotive Marketing degree, which is why I want to go there. I've been searching for some reviews, but I can't really find anything. If anyone has some informative opinions that would be great.
Thanks,
Jordan

Humm... well, I think you MIGHT want to consider getting just a regular marketing degree. Who knows if you'll be able to find an automotive-marketing job when you graduate. You might need to do marketing elsewhere just to make ends meet. BUT if you really want to do it, go for it. I would talk to some people who are currently going there -- and not NEW students. Talk to people who are on the verge of graduating. They will give you the BEST information on the school -- as to whether it's worth it or not. Don't listen to a damn word the school's representative tells you. It's their job to make you join.

I went to Georgian a couple years ago and graduated from the Automotive Products Design course. It's a pretty nice school, teachers were good and would really help out if needed. The rest of the faculty was nice and the school was clean. A friend of mine took the Automotive Marketing class and is having trouble finding a job he likes. I don't know how hard he is looking though, and I don't think he wants to relocate which could be hurting him.

Overall I would say that Georgian is a great school.

That's what I've been trying to find, and I just can't seem to find anyone. I posted something up on a local forums, drift central, and here. If you hear of any graduate please let me know.

That's what I've been hoping to hear. I don't mind relocating, and as far as natural ability to market and :bs:, I'm pretty good at it. I thought about a general marketing degree, but I really love cars, and I plan on working in this industry for quite some time.

^I know dozens of people who went there. And through that exact course.
And I live in the same city as the campus... It's actually just down the road and around the corner from me.

Yeah if you're good at it you can make a ton of cash too, and if you love it it's even better.

I didn't find it hard to find a job, my program was a co-op program so I was able to get a job with the company I did my co-op's with. I had a few other interviews with other non-automotive comanies too. I was also graduating last august when all the sh!! was hitting the fan in the auto industry. Ended up quiting that job for a non-automotive job due to slow downs at the plant.

I think that marketing program is a co-op too. You can make a lot of business connections doing co-ops, and it helps get a job out of college since you have already gained some experience in the field.

Another thing about Georgian is they have quite a few Articulation agreements with Universities. These allow you to apply your college credits toward a University degree program, some can take over 2 years off of a 4 year program. I think these are the ones for Auto Marketing - Georgian College Articulation Articulation and Transfer Agreements (http://www.georgianc.on.ca/academics/articulations/index.php?list=programs&program=22#22)

If you were to do the college course at georgian and then a bachelor afterwards i think you would be pretty well off education wise.

im goin to a trade school right now.. sometimes its like the best option if you cant stick to regular college, you get easily side tracked.. think of it this way, you are becoming trained in that field. so its a plus.

I got a job in quality control. It wasn't too bad, got to use some interesting machines. The reason it sucked was because it was shift work. I hate shift work, lol.

I think it an accredited college.
