re grind crank w/ acl race bearings. bore 0.5 over with cp pistons/eagle rods, cams of ur choice but the bc kit is nice (springs retainers cams) cosworth headgasket, arp head studs, 2871r turbo, power fc with tune, injectors, z32 maf = one realiable baller set up

if the crank is scored it's not going to be any good.

maybe i should sell and just use that KA no one wants to buy from me.lol.i already have a s14 sr20det on one of my 510s..yeah haha ill have a KA and a SR..
how bad is the crank? you can get if resurfaced if it's not completely f$&^ed. you may have gotten shavings in the oil holes tho. same with the rods, best bet is to just buy new ones.
and the block? did it oval the cyl? could get a new sleeve in it, or bore it.
If you really wanna learn to rebuild it, just slowly do it. Get all the specs you'll need and buy all the parts piece by piece, you don't have to buy it all at once. the best way to get a reliable build is taken your time with it. throw the Ka in the car if you need a driver and build the sr.

Just take it to your machine shop. They will usually measure it for free and tell you if it is still useable. Don't go out buying new parts untill you know yours are bad.

I had a spun rod bearing on my 3rd cylinder

i had to go .25 over on my crank, and .75 over on my rods, i used ACL bearings, the motor has been in my car 2 months now runnin awesome... it cost me about 140 to have the crank ground, polished, and balanced...

FWD Sentra crank will work 100 percent just fine. Hard to say which way is cheaper/better to go, but ensure you get the block COMPLETLY cleaned and get your mains checked for anyhting out of round.
PS: Go with OE bearings. Plenty of plus sizing available to fit the motor.
