Hey bros I got a quick question for yall.

I picked up a 1.1mm thick apexi headgasket 86mm stock bore, but when I picked it up the guy that was helping me said that apexi actually makes the gaskets 1mm over the bore size which would essentially make it 87mm.

This is not my question, long story short i'm going to trade in this gasket for a thicker one because the machine shop had to take off a lot from the block.

Would it be okay to buy a 87mm gasket from cosworth? I am using stock pistons and stock bore, if anyone has any insight please let me know thanks!

You always want a head gasket that's 0.5mm or 1mm over what your bore is.

^^Thanks.

Anyone know if Cosworth makes their gaskets to size, not like Apexi?

Cosworth, like most head gasket makers, lists the actual size. So you'd want a 86.5mm or 87mm for your stock-bore SR. Since they only make 87mm and 90mm I believe, your choice is easy lol.
