As with your typical "i've been ripped off!" story, this one goes back a long way. In short..

I purchased an S15 CF hood and S14.5 conversion fenders from a guy named "Chris" (don't know his last name) at a "company" called "Downshift." The fenders and hood were supposed to be importfan products. Since he was a start-up, I figure I'd help spread the word and get a fellow member's business on the way, instead of ordering straight from importfan.

At the beginning he was nice, replying to emails. About one month in, he stopped responding to emails. At the same time, his business phone mysteriously got disconnected. I managed to reach him through his cell phone once, where he gave me some excuse about it shipping soon. He says that it was his roommate's email he was using, thus he couldn't check it. Trusting him, I let him off the hook for one more month. Assuming that it would "ship any day now."

I call him again at the beginning of last month, and he asked me to call back 30 minutes later. I did, but have never been able to reach him. He never answers though I've called zillions of times at different times of the day, and left dozens of messages asking him to call back.

Since importfan has some sort of harebrained policy to only let the dealers deal with the customers, I have never managed to talk sense into them, and get them to give me some information about this guy. I did get them to divulge the fact that they get shipments of these CF hoods and fenders in every week. It's been 12 weeks, already. In addition, Austin, the guy at importfan, only remembers one order from Chris way back in Feb, for an S13 conversion.

Info:
-Handle on Zilvia (and 240sx.org, and probably Freshalloy-I know he posted on FA but I don't know his screenname) : aDRenaline

-The last time he posted here was ~March 10th.

-Business Address:
33 South 1300 West.
Clearfield, UT 84015

-Nonworking Business number:
801.774.8439

-Working cell number, maybe set to ignore anything from my area code: 801-686-0633

His friend's email address and also paypal acct I posted payment to: [email protected]

Friend's name, presumably. or maybe his real name: Russell Cuddeback

Are there any Zilvia members close to that area of Utah? I'd happily pay someone to check it out the place for me..

Also, if anyone has any idea what I can do with paypal three months into a transaction..please let me know. Their policy is one month, from what I understand.

Any help or advice in general would be very greatly appreciated.

And Chris, if you're still reading this forum, get in touch with me, clear up this confusion, and I will gladly take back my words.
