Ok so recently my 240 keeps dieing on me. I'll pull up to a stop sign and push the clutch in and it'll die instead of idle. And if it doesn't die it'll idle up and down from 300 rpm to 900 rpm. Any ideas on what could cause this. I do have an sr and it is modded with the typical stuff; full exhaust, header, intake, intercooler and piping, boost controller, and so on... I haven't changed my plugs for 5000 miles so that is first on my list.

Yes I am vent to atmosphere

Recirculate your BOV, or convert to MAP sensor.

Hey, are you the guy with the blue Silvia running around Mount Vernon? Always driving by Elliott Tire and Service on the corner of Riverside and College Way? Stop by sometime, I'm a tech there.

Or do you have the white one? I see it from time to time.

I actually sold mine to a friend. Its the white one that you see around mount vernon. Im just asking the stalling question for him.

Try getting a can of air intake cleaner and with the engine running, spray medium bursts into the hose leading to the iacv.

Definitely recirculate your BOV, that's what mine does too. I found that when I go into higher RPMs and then come to a stop it'll try to die or does die. What works for me until I recirculate my BOV is just braking all the way down to 2000 RPMs then putting the clutch in. Works perfectly fine that way without dying.
