i recently bought some 17x7.5 rims and was wondering what tire size people are using for them. I'm planning on getting some low profile tires but need a little help with the dimensions because I'm not sure what to get exactly. If someone out there has some 17inch rims, please let me know what size tires you're using. Greatly appreciate it..thanks

...Wow. Longest sig ever.
215/45-17 is a common choice

225/45ZR17 Falen Azenis's on 17" Enkei RSF2's...
BTW, in my sig those are 205/40 ZR17 Sumitomo HTR+'s. I love how low the car sat with them, but the down side of that was that my HKS Hiper exhaust scraped on every bump and they left a pretty big gap in the wheel well even with a 2" drop.

my sig shows what 225/45-17 Kumho Ecsta MXs look like on 17x7 wheels.

about the biggest you wanna go is 235/40/R17 They will fit and the actually perform very well. BMW used that size tire on a 17x7.5 rim as an option on the previous generation of M3's.

depends whether you are going for grip or drifting...
Grip: 235/40/17
Drift: front 235/40/17
rear 205/40/17 or so...

225/45 would be what most people would consider the "proper" size for a 7.5. A 235/40 would bulge a little too much for my liking. I'd run a 215/45 for just a bit of stretch, maybe a 205/45 if I was really into drifting. Staggered tires on same-width wheels (like 235 F and 205 R) is pretty silly though, not to mention you lose your ability to rotate them.
