Ive searched and came up with very very minimal info as the topic in the thread ALWAYS seems to get off the topic of the 2871r and it seems that most people end up switching to the 3071r. basicly my goal is to hit 300+(its in a 240sx RB20det and its a drift car minimal street time) while only doing GTR injectors with resistor pack and a 2871r, these questions i would like answered.

1. 2871r. t3 flanged .86 will it fit on the stock rb20 manifold? and use the stock turbo elbow? from what ive herd only thing i need to do is make a custom downpipe? just wanna know if theres any truth here.

2. led off from question one. will i run into any issues hitting my steering rack? im currently using mckinney mounts. I currently dont run in any issues and have about 1cm of clearance, will the 2871r sit further backthan the stock turbo?

3. what rpm does the 2871r start to spool at and what rpm do u hit max boost. and also what kinda psi are you running on your 2871 on your RB20. i dont care about sr's. I will be doing a tune right after installation so i want to know any suggestions you may have.

4. Do you think a 3071r is a better fit for a rb20 in a 240sx drift car as in spooling fast and minimal lag. i dont wanna have to do a whole lap to build up boost if you get what im saying.

5. Last off, your opinions. this is a drift car. i want somthing that will spool realitivly fast. just give me your thoughts on the whole set up.id like to stick with stock manifold at least till next winter.feel free to let me know any other info that you feel i should know.

Thanks. and hopfully someone can shed some insight for me.

you're going to need a tune whatever you decide to do. you can make 300+ on a Gt2530
