Does the z32 brakes clear these rims.
5zigens typhoon 17x7 and 5zigen FN01-R Brackett 17x7.5
What are the offsets that would be best for the s13? Sorry for asking these question I did a search but didn't come up with much. Since I don't understand offsets much can anyone help me?

Anything in the +40 range is not good for our cars. You will definetly not clear the Z brakes with those without running 10mm spacers. I think at those offsets even with the right spoke design it won't make a difference. The Z brakes are considerably larger than the stock brakes.

I guess I stand corrected.
My old rims were 17X7.5 +32, but did not clear the Z-brakes, just as reference.

yeah but +32 is more sunken in
higher offset pushes the face OUT more=more clearance
for a 7.5"? i'd go a +30 at least. but i am not keen on such sizes and offsets....so not 100% sure on it.

depends on wheel design is for best offset. there is not "best"
everyone has personal preference
some want the looks = more flush
some need to clear coilovers
some z brakes
others both
there is no 'best' that is perfect for everything

offset and clearance are totally separate. only thing to do is buy the wheels and physically test fit them with the brakes. if they fit, great. if not, buy spacers. simple.
oh, and as for offset...use this:
