yeah right click the pic on imagestation
use the 'preview' pic, NOT the full size image

if it has orig.jpg at end, DONT USE THAT ONE. that's the larger one
the preview one will end in .jpg after the file name

welcome to zilvia!

Look almost exactly like mine. Ummmm....did you change the front bumper to the older model bumper or something? (i don't have an imagestation account yet so I couldn't look at the other pics)

pignose=89-90 S13

Naw I haven't changed any body parts on it yet, just did a cold air intake (helped a bunch) and a custom exhaust w/ Magnaflow muffler (much smoother power band) and fixed a leaky valve cover as well as all maintenance and diagnosis so I don't end up walking to work, as this is my daily driver. I have owned 2 Stanzas and the reliability and durability of them helped me choos this vehicle as my middle age fun car.

Pics of the front, the seats were pretty much trashed so I threw some comfortable seat covers on them and I am looking to change the whole interior over to black and silver anyways.

looks good, any plans for future mods, or just gonna leave it as is? I reccomend getting S14 seats, they are alot grippier.

I have a guy trying to sell me some S14 seats but I wanna make sure they will bolt right in and I will not lose any space ( I am 6'4" and 300 lbs fortunately I am limber though :) ) other than that I will probably redo the suspension in the spring and get some body work done in the winter ( seal under the wing is bad and rusting and there is a scuff on the drivers side rear quarter that I want to get removed. I have put a Pioneer 4500 head unit in (does XM, and MP3's), XM satellite, and new Pioneer 4x6's (both front and back, come to think of it though I could use the passenger side rear speaker cover), and have picked up a Rockford 1000 watt amp (one of the older ones that were actually still quality) and will put a quality sub in it this fall. I also have a portable DVD player I am looking at having installed w/ an inverter and my Xbox. That is really all the plans I have for now.

man looks exactly like mine. I really love the color of the car because it is unique. I feel your pain about the interior and am hoping to change my interior also.

fastpace nice ride, I really like the gold or champagne color on the exterior, if I do get mine repainted (will probably need it in the next few years) I will stick with the same color. I am really considering pulling the wing completely off when I get the trunk lid resealed, as I think a foam rubber wing is just kinda tacky.

I did notice you have one spoked tire in with your teardrop tires though, trying to make a statement huh? ;)

I typically do not like the chromed look on most cars but it does look quite well with our color of car, I amy give those a try.

welcome to Zilvia, and yeah "pignoser" is a term for the 89-90 front bumper, cause of its "nostrils"...

Oops my bad, that is what I was informed this was when I purchased it and I kinda liked the fact it had a nickname. Thanks for the clarification gents.

We should come up with a nickname for the chuki model s13

Bbandit

lets all call it

"pignose without the holes"

or

"pinokio"

.........

Which one of y'all started the whole "pignoser" thing anyhow? It really does look sort of like a snout :P Anyhow, the DOHC s13s could use a nickname too :-)

Congrats on the car, man. Your stature sounds like my stepdad, but he HATES driving my car (ironic because his own car is an old Subaru of sorts which isn't really any bigger).

Comments on the car: the rubber wing really is pretty tacky, and prone to rust. It's a good idea to liberate it from your trunk. Set it free!

Your paint looks pretty damn good (better than mine), at least from your pictures.

And yes, s14 seats bolt directly in and though I haven't tried them, they are generally regarded as much comfier. Personally, I'm just hoping to get some older s13 seats without the adjustable headrests. I thought those were damn comfy :-)

yeah, i have the s14 seats in my car, bolt right in and u can usually pick them up pretty cheap, definately more comfortable and more support, they look a lot better too. The wing..hahahahah, yeah i laugh cause when u take it off its just gonna be a mess, what i did and what most people do is try to find a replacement hatch in a yard, usually a lot cheaper to do it that way. U can do a search for this too, i know of a bunch that talk bout that.

its chuuki

pignose: zenki
late model (japan only): kouki

not that hard at all.

mcs13? why? then what do you call 96.5 japan 180sx???? those were minor change too!

The s14 seats will not go back as far as the S13 seats. The s14 seats hit the s13 seatbelt near the back of the center console, and will cost you about 1.5-2" of leg room. If you convert to S14 manual seatbelts, you'll get that room back. I'll be trashing the Auto seat belts myself in the near future.

I feel your pain.. I'm 6'4" 220... wear a 34-36" inseam. I had to sit with the seat all the way back with the s13 seats.. I feel a bit cramped, but not uncomfortably so with the s14 seats. The increase in lateral support (side bolstering) more than over shadows any loss of legroom.

poor tall bastards... I'm 5'11" and the 240 with the seat all the way back is just right. I can't imagine being like, half a foot taller in there.

Well, we were discussing nicknames, not the real names. If you take a look at it, the front does bear some resemblance to a shark, like how sharks mouths are on the bottom of the face, not the front.
