-z32 axles, one has a tear/cut but i'll sell these suckers cheap (like $30)-
-ebay turbo manifold-t3 flange
-if i don't need the z32 knuckles i came up on i'll sell those too.

^ Do you need front or rear? Go to pick a Part on Santa fe. They have a 92 coupe in there right now. Was a stock car that got in a front/driver side end colision completely stock looked like an old lady owned it. Rear end of the thing was good. Had a nice auto dual cam in it 150,000 someon took the transmision. Brown interior. it had the guage cluster (projector digital) but we took part of it hehe.

it's more like what didn't happen lol. some of it was poor planning on my part though. i got a little too anxious and didn't upgrade my brakes yet since i wanna powder coat em first, but i wanted to get my rims on-i guess that's what happens for being impatient :P

-as we were taking off the front wheels, i realized i didn't have ROTORS TO FIT THE NEW HUBS!:doh:

-i had to go to 2 different places, montclair and fontana, to get said rotors since no one had a complete set in stock.

-turns out one of the front rotors were warped/defective. at first we thought it was the hub, since i got em off ebay...so i went to autozone and got 5 new wheel studs. but when we put on the rotor again it was still wobbly. so on a hunch i test fitted one of the rear rotors. sure enough the rotor was the problem. i had to drive to the napa warehouse about 20 min away to get an exchange, since the stor i bought the rotors from only had THE 2 ROTORS I BOUGHT. i made it with about 10 minutes to spare.

-the fronts were simple and pretty straight forward. the rears? total cluster fuck. i rented a hub puller, anticipating that the hubs would be rusted on...i'm not sure if that was the case but they were stuck pretty damn good. but, my brother decided to use a brass hammer to get the axle off the hub. so guess what? he mushroomed the part that the nut screws on to. he had to file it down and impact gun the fucker on. needless to say i'll probably need a new driver side axle :rant:. used the puller on the other side and things went much smoother.

so in the end a project that should take roughly 2-4 hours with 2 people took about 8 since i had to so much driving around for parts. i had to remove the plastic under the front fenders since the tires would slap em when hitting a bump. i also discovered my ball joints are shot, and so are the bushings on my tie rods. oh and i'm pretty sure i need new tension rods. and i need new struts on all 4 corners as well :cry:. but by 1100pm saturday night my s14 was finally sitting on some new shoes. i like how it sits, and i dont think i wanna lower it *shrug* or if i do i'll go just like an inch since it's my DD.

old wheels: 4 lug 18x7.5 (offset unknown) sportmax rims sitting on falkens, 225/40/18

new: 5 lug MB battles (bronze) 17x9.5 +15 offset. riken raptor tires 245/40/17. they clear the front shock body but i'll def. need spacers if i do coilovers in the future.

You can get adjustable pillowball tension rods that will actually adjust your caster or you can just pop some energy suspension polyurethane bushings in the stock rods. That's what I did, the bushings are like 30 bucks and the only thing you need to do is press out the stock bushings with a press. I did mine at work, if you come by when i'm closing (keep it ninja) I can probably press them out for you.

they didn't come out absolutely perfect but the still came out ok for it being only the 2nd time i've tried powder coating. I'm using a craftsman electric gun but i might get a gun that has adjustable voltage...makes doing 2nd coats easier. anyways what i coated were the caps for the fuel injectors. got a couple pics on my spare KA that's on a stand, and it looks like it matches ok with my cars color...this might be the color i end up using for my calipers :O). oh i used a base coat called silver sparkle, and a candy topcoat called transparent red. took me a while figure out how to use the sandblast cabinet i just got but once it got going the dirt and crap came flying off...had some issues with over powder in a couple spots but overall not bad...gonna try the alternator cover next :P

oh yeah i like the genesis-and have even gotten into arguments over that car w/another member here on zilvia lol. i did "build your own" on the hyunday site and the turbo track model (brembo brakes,lsd,HID's,leather etc) comes to just under 28k. not bad at all for all the stuff it comes with IMO. but 3 things are holding me back:

1. i don't have a car payment right now...and it' makes more sense to maintain the cars i have right now-so i can focus on paying down our debt. it's not alot but i'd like to get rid of our credit card debt first before taking on a big ticket purchase like a new car.

2.I like the genesis-even if it's a hyundai. but it's the first production, and i'd rather wait and see them refine it and work out the bugs.

3. if i achieve goal 1 listed within a couple of years, the ft-86 might be released...and depending on how it looks and all that, i might go with the ft insted of the genesis. one forum had a post with the rumor it would be the next scion tc (eww lol).

if you're willing to pay for a transmission and all the other stuff you need to do the conversion then do what you want. it's a lot of work. 4k isn't bad but what's the story on it? how's the interior and the engine? any frame damage? you're better off buying a kouki that's a 5 speed but it's your money and your time so it's your decision.
