I was wondering if you guys could help me out? I have a s13 hacth that I'm building as I get money but my plans were to get a 1j for it but they have told me it's difficult to find parts for a 1j so they told I should get a rb25. I wanted the 1j because it has more torque and power stock vs the rb but if I decided to go with the 1jz I tried doing research because I belive there is a clearance issue so they get the 1j with the front oil sump but I'm not 100% sure on the so I was hoping someone could clear that up for me. Let me know what you guys think about this so I could decide on what would be better to go with and thank you any info is appreciated.

Depends on experience level.
Honestly, both will probably be a bit for you to chew off on a "first project" and quite expensive.
SR20 or even CA18 will give you a comparable and reliable output on comparative budgets, or smaller budgets.
Further, the wiring is easy, parts are widely available, and the $/hp ratio is better.
Drive shaft, motor mounts, wiring and aftermarket part support is the hindrance in both the options, and the 1j is further away than the RB.

Your car, your choice.
There is PLENTY of information on both swaps available to anyone who isn't too lazy to look.
