Time..better arrive at the crack of dawn if you want to run. I'm not kidding about this. Entries are limited. I arrived at about 7:00AM last year and it was full already.

I went to the auto-x today and it was lots of fun. I was so stoked to see that there were quite a few 240's out there. Although I didn't get my *** up at 4 in the morning to be able to drive....I did bring the 240...it was the hatch with the blue body and tan bumper..stylish huh? I wish I could have met more of the drivers, but I guess that'll just have to happen another time. Oh yeah....congrats to everyone who drove...you guys rock!

Overall the event was pretty good. From what I heard, people that got there after 5am didn't get to run.

There was about 5 or so 240sx's entered. It was kind of funny to see the s14 with the gold advan rgs exit the track after one lap.

i wonder if anyone saw me go. I was the 3rd car to leave -- after the celica. The timeslip paper says i got an 81.758, but i thought I did a lot better than that... weird. oh well.

yeah i saw your car. you were the first run i saw and i was like...hey that guy did the 97-98 conversion. well anyways nice car. I wanated to know where you got your parts to do the conversion. thanks

Ya i saw you, u got an 81? Your run was smother then mine, I got a 79.sumtin, cant find the slip. I was the red 240 that was in the last half of the pack.

I didn't even stay much longer after my run. I got to DeAnza at like 2:30 AM and slept a little on the floor and then for a while in my car. I was much too tired to watch the whole event -- I just saw a few more runs, like that dark red 240z and like 1 or 2 S13s. Now my blanket's kind of dirty from sleeping on the floor, and I didn't have time to wash it. ****.... I gotta use it tonight -- I guess I'll just try to keep it away from my face. :eek:

But yessah.... that was my first autox ever... it was pretty fun, but I'm not really used to following cones... I dunno... it just seemed kind of weird somehow. After I raced, I just wanted to go straight to bed -- so thats what I did. Slept straight through lunch... had an early dinner... it's about 10:15 PM right now, so I might go out and get a snack. ;)

Actually, there's a funny/crappy story behind that. It's not a front end conversion.... it's a rear end conversion :D My car is actually a '97.

I've always liked the Zenki rear end more than the Kouki one. I always thought the Kouki lights looked too ripply... I guess it just wasn't in my style. Then, a few months ago, I got a ticket and I needed to do something quickly to get money in order to pay it off. I ended up trading rear lights with Hidaoka at Signal Auto in Torrance, CA. He has a black Zenki, and I think he's planning to convert the body style to Kouki. So, he was more than willing to get his hands on my rear lights -- he said no one else was willing to trade with him.

Anyway, I told him I'd trade him rear lights for 150 dollars. So, I got some Zenki lights plus some cash to pay off the ticket. I don't regret my decision... kind of makes my car look original in a way.

Sure. I shall let you know... but it seems like all the 240s here in Northern cali are all Zenkis... the only other Kouki driver I know is Anthony from Tracy... hmm odd... It's reversed in Socal... like, more Koukis than Zenkis... weird. :confused:

I still need to install my sparco seats...4 point harnesses...and 6 point roll cage...and I'm buying wheels this week....

But since I am officially broke now, it's not going to get a paint job for a while...I'm thinking a nice primed black will do for now. :)

I feel like I'm leaving something out...I always do that....

BTW: the reason I didn't compete was because my power steering lines are temporarily cut, which makes it very difficult to stear the damn thing (I would have hit all the cones I'm sure). Next year I will be there for sure...and the car will of course be at DD6. Maybe even DD5 this weekend.

okie. so yeah i went to Deanza from like 11-4 it was cool. Jason dood i still cant get over ur damn blow off valve. haha. The ARC is too badass. Oh well im jus gonna have to suffice with my HKS pop off valve till i get a new one.

Hey S13Chica how is the Greddy E-01 boost controller. how much r u boostin n does it hold boost. My AVC-R got stolen out of my car but i never really liked it neways. I was thinkin about eventually replacing it with the new HKS EVC but the Greddy one looks dope.

Here is all I had on my camera for that event. Shortly after I handed the camera off to a friend (which explains the multiple pictures of some things), the batteries died.. (and the spares never got charged... doh!)

That first picture blur is a B-24 Liberator; plane from the WWII era.. i, uh.. couldn't 'quick draw' the camera fast enough! ..nor focus on it before it past behind the trees!
The yellow datsun (pic number *98) had its passenger door open ALL THE WAY after the first major turn in the practice lap.. announcer commented on how hard it would be to not hit cones with a door open, which the driver demonstrated.

Overall, a pretty good event.. getting there at 4:30 sucked. But it being around 5 miles from home and $15 made up for that. The announcer was damn good, too.. funny comments, etc..

its all bout the blitz sbcid!!! the hks evc uses a stepping motor..which is slow... the blitzs sbcid uses a dual solenoid.. which reacts faster

really i heard the Blitz one although dual solenoid wasnt all that good. they didnt like the older greddy ones either. Everyone seems to like the Apex one. But i jus dont like Apex. Actually if i decided i wanted to get a power fc rather than fcon v pro than i would get another apex. oh wells i got time till then have a lot of stuff i need to get for my car.
