i just did an s14 4lugg to 5 lugg and changed the rear caliper too. but i cant seen to connect the e-break line to the caliper either the hole is too far away to connect the bracket to the caliper or i take off the clip to the line and the bracket connects to the caliper, but the cable is too far to connect to the bracket!!!
sounds confusing!! i know
is there a way to connect it?? any tricks?? =] any help is helpfull and thanks in advance

it sounds confusing because you typed it that way...what rear caliper did you swap to?

just the stock caliper its just my rear driver side was seizing so only need to change that one!

did you compare the "new" caliper to your old one? obviously the ebrake cable worked with the old caliper right?
doesn't sound like the same caliper or something else is messed up.

Is the Ebrake up or down at this point? Stupid question, but you never know with some of these internets people.

problem solved^^^^...i dont think the caliper changed unless its s13 to s14 or vise vs.
i meant be wrong tho

e break is down and that was a duh!!
and there the exact same thing its just i would have to force the hell out of it to make it fit!! (become hulk)
also when my old caliper was connected, where the two e-break cables connected to the e-break handle line (on top of the drive shaft) one of the cables seemed to be more pulled than the other and the looked like this ----/===

can an e-break cable get streched out?? cuz when my car was jacked up my rear driver side wheel was harder to spin freely compared to the rest!!

now that i put newer caliper on it seems the / has gone away (park brake up and down) but it might happen once i connect the wire to the bracket!!
so right now the bracket is connected to the caliper but the wire is not connected to the bracket!!
the gap is about half an inch to connect up!

ok try this:
pull the parking brake up so you can access the adjustment nut. loosen that nut almost all the way.
now release the parking brake handle. you will have more slack to attach the 2 lines to the single parking brake handle line.
then double check that you can fit each cable to the calipers and mount them as they are supposed to.
does this fix your problem? if it does hooray and then don't forget to readjust the parking brake handle. tighten the nut. like 6-7 clicks when you pull up the handle should engage the parking brake.

ill try that tomorow =] and i hope it works!! ran into a diff problem!!
since i couldnt figure out the rear i started on the front and got everything connected EXEPT for the nut on the steering rack/arm!! the nut tightens only for like one turn and then the whole thing spins cuz its on a bearing!!
any way to get this bolt on??

also when i put the front caliper on i bleed it and pushed the piston in and then connected it to the hub, presed on the brake pedal couple times"i know theres still air in the line but i was bymyself so..." but then i went to spin the whole front rotor and it didnt move!! like the piston it pushing out to much!

oh yeah if you guys are wondering y my steering rack/arm would be disconnected, is when i got my 5 lugg it came with under arms and "uh hum" newer tension rod's so yeah......

why did you disconnect the tie rod from the spindle? that wasn't necessary...
well unless you have speedbleeders you pretty much need a second person to help you bleed the brakes. sounds like you're wasting your time, especially when you're going to have to rebleed them here shortly...why not just do it right the first time and be lazy?
edit: nm just read why you disconnected the tie rods...
OK learn the proper terminology of the suspension parts PLEASE, it's making it difficult to help diagnose your problems bro.

ok sorry for this being so unorganized!!
and the ill get back at you with the e break problem after i try and fix it tomorow..
and im having trouble connecting the nut to the steering rod/spindle "dont know exact name" hhahahah
everytime i try putting the nut on it just turns the whole ball bearing!!! X[

meh fixed the e-brake problem. just saif F*(K it and grew a pair and made it work =D

Thanks for commenting on my nice writing, i now know that the tie rod end on the driver side needs to be replaced.
