Like it says. I have never really been a fan of the HKS SSQV but its what came on my newest s chassis. I have never had a problem such as this with any other BOV and i have owned atleast 10. SSQV guys help me out!!
Took off from a redlight just crusing. Shifted around 3k i guess. No sound from bov? Gave it some throttle to get higher in the revs.. Let off. still no sound. So i Drove it to my shop. Popped the hood and checked all vac sources. all connections are good and vac lines free of damage. Cranked the car had great vac on the boost/vac gauge. I revved the car from the tb and put my hand over the bov and Its stuck shut. The pressure just goes back thru the turbo and surges out the intake.
I have searched and seen similar problems with the ssqv but have not found any info on how to fix this or whats causing it to fail.
