So i been hearing this noise coming from the driver side. I thought it was the wheel bearing so i jacked up the front of the car and spun the wheel it was coo on both side no noise nice and smoothed. took off the wheel and checked if the hub had any play and it didn't. the only thing i haven't done is take it apart so i decided to ask here first before doing so.

could it be power steering pump or AC condenser ... this noise is driving me nut i thought it was just cheap tires i had on my SE stocks but the noise still presist after i got my wheels and new tires. the noise gets louder as you accelerate is it the wheel bearings...

shit sound like my truck wit mud tires..... HELP out a noob before i tear my DD apart.

here a vid i took this morning on the way home: 1010090708 on Flickr - Photo Sharing! (http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/3997621639/)

yeah i would think so.. i hate to say replace them and then its not that. lol not sure how much they cost.. If they are cheap and you know how to changethem then just replace them. I mean your car is what at least 10+ years old..

i would say check your tires first. if you got cheap tires than it could be a seperated belt or a air bubble in the tread. i say that at the dealer i worked for. figure out what side you hear it and slap a spare on there and drive it. if its still there the check your hub. start with the easy stuff first before you start tearing stuff apart.

Try this, Just because the wheel bearing feels good with no load means nothing.
Get on a long straight. Turn the steering wheel to the left and listen to see if the noise gets worse or better. then the same to the right. What you are doing is putting more load on the opposite wheel of the direction of turn. Turning left more load on right side wheels. turning right more load on the left wheels. If it changes then its in you wheel bearings since you have already swapped the tires.
