alright well the other day i started noticing the car turning over slow so i replaced the battery and with the first turnover on it the car clicked and would not turn over but then eventually it started and was fine for like 2 days. then again it started turning over slow and now is dead in my garage...i got the alt. checked and it was fine but the car still wont start. just tried jump starting the car and it wont even do that....im thinking it could be the starter? when they keys are in the car, the radio works and all the windows go up and down fine but when i turn the key to start it it wont even click.... any suggestions?
thanks!

STARTER.
Did someone say that already?
If its not your starter, your capacitor needs more flux...

Yeah, Im thinking it may be the starter.
Soak it in red bull or 5 hour energy to get the last bit of life out of it.

im with obeewon on this one..
its your flux capacitor
us jedi's are used to them failing
have your starter tested, if its fine check your fuel lines.
i thought my starter was bad but i ended up having a leaky fuel line

try hitting the starter with a mallet or wrench and cleaning the connector to the solenoid. not a fix but it can make it mobile for a while until you get it replaced.

Plus it will diagnose a bad starter.

It could also be your starter relay if you have an s13.
Or your clutch interlock relay if you have an s14.

I don't think this could be a starter.
Probably a bad starter.

What's the difference? What's the "starter relay" on S13?

check your alternator.. if thats fucked up it will just drain all the juice from your battery until its dead.. even if the car is off

You should try and look for any light bulbs that stay on, or anything that could be causing a drain in the system. Look over every output spot.

Did you check the Starter relay like I stated?
What's the difference? What's the "starter relay" on S13?
The Starter relay is in between the passenger side fender and the battery. It's a blue relay. Fairly common to go out on s13's. You can either put another one. A quick way to figure out if you need one is to jump where the relay would go with paper clips.
S14's do not have starter relays. It's called the clutch interlock device. Or ICCD or something. Been a while since I looked.

did you get your alternator tested while it was on the vehicle ? or off ? i'd recommend getting it tested on the vehicle. if your battery keeps dying and the alternator is good, you have a short somewhere. Also, with the car off you said it drew no current ?

any luck with your problem man? My car started this and before I go spend $ on a starter today I want to make sure I shouldnt be checking a clutch switch or something.
Battery tested good as did alternator (on the vehicle running). When trying to start NO strain is put on the battery.
Will get a new starter if nothing else is suggested and post results.

didnt want to make a new thread on this issue. im already more than sure its my starter. i really just want to know a good/reliable place to buy from. already went through 2 from autozone, first one the bolt broke and the next one just wouldnt catch...thats what the guy at the shop said(moved to a new place, had no tools/equipment to do it myself). plan on doing the next one myself whenever i can, so any suggestions?
