Head/Radio turns on and off

ok, so i would be listening to my music and it just turns off and automatically turns back on and continue to play the music. and it just keeps repeating this process.

help?

Most likely your ground isn't hooked up correctly, and is intermittently shorting out.

I would check that first.

How is the unit grounded?

bad ground?? bad fuse box connection next to battery?? head unit not connected properly?? (solder, butt connectors, tape??)
