You know the drill people, what's in your CD player this week?
Me? My West Indian grandmother has been weighing heavily on my musical influence this week. Steeles may have noticed that I have been listening to reggae on Sundays for as long as we've known each other now...
... Or not, but the fact is that I have. I got the new Buju Banton CD "Friends For Life" a couple weeks ago and kinda ignored it and then I made the mistake of listening to it on the way to the closest 1/4 mile track to us (hour and a half drive, still kinda fun when Jason doesn't cut a tire) Sunday afternoon and it is the ONLY thing I have been able to listen to since, what what about you guys? What's in your player?

Good call. The new Hed PE CD is in my CD player, and my friend just burnt me 3 Incubus CDs, which are next in line.

Linkin Park - Meteora is a pretty good CD.
Zion I - they're the shiznit. Their 1st cd was better though IMO.
Incubus - i love listening to their music on long drives. i don't know why, its weird.
Talib Kweli - off the hook! I like his style.
The Roots - whats not to like about the The Roots!

I go through these 5 pretty frequently

As you can see i'm a man of many music genres. :)

I go thru quite a few genres too, and I see that there are a few people here listening to the same hip hop I listen to, I love the roots, I got a friend of mine to put all 6 of their albums on one MP3 disk, and I have it in the car... I also LOVE the newest Talib Kweli, but that doesn't keep me from listening to the past stuff, the Blackstar album, Reflection eternal and all of the old soundbombing/lyricist lounge stuff... It's pretty cool to see what people listen to around here.

I put all those roots and the beatnuts on disk for you..

the problem with MP3 players is you got so many albums on one disk... um the one in nowis kinda random...

XXX soundtrack
How High soundtrack
Queen of the Damned soundtrack
Requiered Audio (that CD from import tuner got some good stuff on it Lexicon and Boogieman a little Qtip and Wordsworth)
A Random tracks folder with a whole bunch of DLed stuff. (Sir Mix Alot's Buttermilk biscuits, Square Dance rap, Put um on the glass.. some Luke in there some Mariyn Manson, P.O.D, Static-X, yeah random stuff)

annnd I dont remember what else is on that disk. I'll check at lunch.

Hey look do you want *cough free cough* mixtapes? this is what you do.

Go to buymixtapes.com, they have all the new ones that come out.
Download Mirc
Go to ircspy.com and type in the the name of the mixtape. Someone is usually listing it, click on the link for mirc and it takes you right to the listing room then you press ctrl-v and you are listed for that mixtape, but sometimes it takes a really long time, but its worth it.

I only reccomend this if you have high speed internet.

P.S. Also works for all music not just mixtapes, you can get whole albums off this.
If you need help PM me i'll give better instructions.

Bumpin a mix cd with songs that are featured in videos of DTMPOWER.net . The songs that they have are sooooo cool to listen too when you are taking the windy road home or even the highway. I guess you have to see the videos to understand.

Here's a list of the songs.

Reggae gold 2000 was really good though, better than any of them sense, but the BEST one was 1997... They got a little soft for a little while, but came back strong last year. can't wait til 2003 comes out.
