Has anyone heard of them or bought their stuff??? Are they legit? They have a ka turbo manifold for $200 that looks tempting but i wanna know others experience with their parts before I buy. Their site is www.godspeedproject.com (http://www.godspeedproject.com)

i bought an fmic kit from them. i have yet to install it, but they've been good about answering pm's and questions when i call. in my case i don't know how to install my piping but they've offered to show me in person; since they don't have set of instructions. what manifold were you looking at-the header style or their cast mani?
please..........look around a bit.

There not quality but if you do buy there products you can make them work. If you get the mani I would deff recommend that you reinforce it with your own welds or take it some where to have the welds gone over for extra strength and protection.

Come on guys have you even seen there newest versions? there newly revised version manifold for the KA is definitely a quality piece. My buddy will has it on his KA-t and beats the living balls out of that car, It has yet to crack or give him any problems. I think alot of you have just seen what they put out at the begining and dont thinkm they could ever change. I seen there newest stuff and its deffinately a step above anything they have put out in the past. Every company starts off somewhere...

no problems so far. his last aluminum mani cracked within weeks.
im prolly gonna get the same mani.

i don't normally buy their stuff but i would not buy anything that will have any sort of strain put on it.

I would trust their NON-MECHANICAL parts only such as FMIC's or Manifolds. I wouldn't trust their coilovers or other suspension arms.

Iv only seen one aluminum turbo manifold and it was on a drag civic and the manifold melted off the car by the 1000ft mark.
I'll probably catch flak for this but I'm gonna offer some real world input. When I had my last s14, I bought A LOT of cheap parts and threw them on. For example - the MDU coilovers on ebay. Matched with a complete set of Godspeed adjustable suspension components. Honest to god I never had ONE problem. BUT... I did not slam my car to the ground, I did not drift, drag or auto-x. It was an automatic daily driver that my WIFE and I drove to work about 3 times a week. The car was lowered about 2.5" all the way around. The suspension improved the handling of the car drastically at highway speeds and for an occasional spirited drive through some twisties. Almost no body roll. Everything fit perfectly. The ride was decent enough that my wife did not complain. Nothing ever broke. The alignment was perfect. The coils did not blow and I put over 7000 miles on that setup with no problems. But the moral of the story is, I would only use those parts in certain circumstances. If you are going to be racing/drifting the car occasionally, then yeah maybe. But if you are doing that stuff on a weekly basis, I would recommend something of higher quality. This rule of thumb is cliche but it definitely applies---
you can have two of the following but never all three-
fast
reliable
cheap
My car was cheap and reliable. :o

Not going to Lie though every year there products do seem to look a bit nicer and more well made than previous years, also take note that they make products for the GTR and nobody who owns a GTR is going to cheap out on it. Well At least not yet Its to new and if godspeed is making products for it with warranty then it has to be somewhat decent. Like I said before try to make it a little better your self when you buy there products and most of there products are warranty if you buy directly from them

I picked up a set of their adjustable arms used (they were cheap)
Ikeya knock offs: poor welds, cheap materials, low quality bearings
nothing surprising for what they cost
I may end up throwing them on one of my cars after I get better bearings
and make my own shanks and spacers.

I bought their suspension stuff for my project 2j car and I can honestly say that the only thing I would use is their sway bars. There are gaps in the welds and the welds are super shitty. Almost scary. Please don't buy their adjustable arms.

If you want to go cheap you should consider ISIS, I am currently using their V2 tubular manifold and its nice and beefy compared to the Megan I replaced with it. ISIS has a lot of products (rads, oil coolers, manis, even stuff like OEM replacement starters and etc) and the only place I know of to buy their stuff is enjukuracing.com but I bet there are more sites now that carry ISIS stuff.

I agree with buying cheap/ebay/knockoff NON-PRECISION parts, as long as you clean them up i.e. reinforcing welds, smoothing out the internal bores, slotting the flange, and don't use their fischer price less than class 1 hardware. If you can do the work, or know people who can, and you don't mind the extra time to make it right, you can save yourself alottttta dough, and feel pretty damn good about your solid setup too.

as a customer of many of their products, let me give my personal experience on a few parts:
bov, garbage. had an internal gasket design that caused it the become chewed up after the first blowoff
wastegate, garbage. looked solid. ugly, but solid. I took it apart the change the spring, and thankgod i did. the gasket was condom-thin and already tearing around the edge. the wastegate surged before i changed out the spring.
intercooler, great once i retapped one of the threads.
piping, great once i beaded the ends.
turbo, cost me a motor. absolute garbage. always surged, never had a consistent boost output at consistent rpm ranges. shaft play after a week or so, and blow-by by the second week.
these are the only parts i have experience with from them, so i won't bash their other parts... as most people are saying, i would say their intercoolers and piping are worth every penny that you save... their other mechanical parts may cause you regret money lost, time lost, and further damage caused...

Really??? ANOTHER godspeed thread??? So sad...
:lockd:
The post above really highlights what is wrong with godspeed. While maybe not all of their parts fail, all of their parts are more PRONE to failure. Anything from godspeed with a moving part in it should not be installed on your car, this includes suspension arms and coilovers.
what did you expect from cheap ass parts. the only thing i would buy from them is a strut bar or sway bar.

contrary to the requests to close this thread, i would opt to leave it open. unlike a lot of people, i like to read reviews and experience with certain manufacturers. let's not forget when Megan first started out. people cursed them and shit talked them and poor review after poor review came from their "cheap parts"... turns out now, Megan is building a reputation of quality that's still affordable...

How about we leave all the other ones open and just close this one??? You do realize that there are more then a couple of godspeed review threads already in existence and this is basically a re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-post right?

i got a slightly used set for 200 bucks, i wasn't too wild about them at first but for ride height adjustability, damper adjustable and overall better control over stock mushy suspension I was actually surprised how decent these were. As far as the build quality, these are surprisingly really solid. the welds seemed solid and didn't look like they were gonna fall apart on me. They are pretty bouncy and don't really feel like the dampers are strong enough for the springs even at full hard but hey you get what you pay for and you can't expect 600 dollar coils to perform just as good as 1400 dollar ones.
i also have their RLCA's, RUCA's and their sway bars, which are decent. The welds aren't pretty but they look solid. I'd say there's no way these arms are weaker than OEM, go look at your OEM suspension arms and notice the welds aren't exactly a work of art and they are made from stamped steel. I check all the parts on my car once in a while and everything has checked out ok after a good 5000 miles. I think the coils have about 7K miles on them.
I'm not saying this shit is quality but i'm saying this shit works.. just my .02 and my experiences

ya right, you want the first thing someone sees under your hood to be some generic cheap shit. Y cant everyone learn to just buy quality, find deals, usually you can find bomb ass deals on anything you need. I would never pay retail for godspeed anything. I would rock lightly used quality over new garbage
