some people dont like them... and some people do... ive never owned a set because i decided to spend that money for my Turbo... but other people seem to say great things about it.. and sometimes i hear that its the best for the KA...

but do a search... theres plenty of post out there about hotshot headers...

adds some nice power above 3500rpm. if you have an exhaust it'll be insanely loud without a silencer

1st gen fits like ****...

Morgan's right, the thing's louder than a mo fo. But it will give ya a couple extra horsies too. I passed on it personally, from a review I've read on it, you'll have a hard time talking with the people in the car with you it's so loud

I have em for meanwhile till i get my turbo. hotshots are overly loud when combined with a cat-back exaust system.

I like them, it gives you a nice feel at high rpms, and a beautifu sound too

i have the 3rd gen. i did a review in the review section. but yeah i have them and are great. it did increase the sound of my exhaust but with the stock header my muffler sounds like its stock. i have the tanabe g medallion. that exhaust with the headers are great. its not load until WOT at like 4k rpm. if your not planning to go forced induction this is the way to go. the finish is great but after a while it fades. im going to try and polish them soon. if you want to see a pic goto the review section.

I also have hotshots header in my 93 240. It can be a little loud when you get on it. It is a nice adition to a n/a engine. It took hotshot a long time to ship it to me, but other than that I have had no problems.

The hotshot headers are good stuff, they are a little loud but it's not anything you won't get used to quickly. I have the 3rd gen 4 one piece model. There are some fitment issues: i have a problem with a heat shield rattle that i haven't gotten aroun to fixing yet and i have heard of the headers hitting the bellhousing for some people. For the power gains though it's worth it if you ar staying NA.

Decent power gains like everyone says. Mine doesn't fit so hot. I'm not sure which generation I have, but it rubs against the bottom of the car, right under the accelerator pedal. So after a while, the floor can get hot.

I took the car to a track event last weekend and the floor got so hot the corner of my shoe melted.

People say it's loud. Cruising on the highway it made my ears kinda numb, but that's with an Apex N1 Dual exhaust.

I had the HS header with the N1 Dual exhaust.
It was so loud, I sold the N1 and got the Tanabe Hyper Medallion.
It's still too loud (at least for my tastes) that I am looking to replace it with the new "quiet" Blitz exhaust (was it called the Realize TT?).
Would any of you guys know any more super quiet exhausts? (except for the stock one)
The header makes the engine smoother at high revs and gives the exhaust note a raw sound (as opposed to the muffled sound of the stock header).
The ceramic finish is really nice. I've had it installed for almost a year, but it still looks relatively new.
It's a good upgrade if you plan to stay off boost for a while.
My version was a single piece. I had to detach the steering column to make it slide through the engine bay.
The HS header retains all factory sensors in their original position so cops won't be able to recognize it as an aftermarket part.
It also isn't bright and shiny so it doesn't really stand out after breaking it in.
It will match the color of the KA24DE valve cover.
With the exception of its loudness, I am satisfied with my purchase.

I had the hotshot headers and the N1 dual on my car as well, I agree, way too loud. I swapped the N1 dual for the 5zigen Border3 exhaust. Nice and quiet. But it still have a really nice deep sound. Sounds very nice.

Ive been interested in getting another header. I had a Greddy header and that was utter POS. Im kinda apprehensive about getting another header just cuz ive been hearing all kinds of fitment issues with the HS.

If you have an S14, then the new version of the Hotshot header will fit nicely. I have no problems at all during the install.

I bought mine from Enjukuracing.com, they always have the most current version of Hotshot products.

I got my header from Enjuku and I appeared to have gotten the newest version. (They also had the best price at the time of my purchase; also, their service was excellent and fast.)
No fitment problems at all.
I have an S14 so it might be different for the 13.

i got silencers for my N1 Dual and it brought the volume down to what it was with just an exhaust.. maybe even a bit quieter

can you post a pic of the 5zigen Border3? just interested on how it looks?

i have the tanabe g medallion and my car sounds a little bit queiter than my friends s14 with dual n1 and stock header. its great.

any exhaust with 80mm+ piping is going to be loud as ish with a header. period.

Get any 60-70mm exhaust, and the sound will be more than tolerable.

I talked to Hotshot, and they say with their current Gen headers, all fitment problems have been resolved. It's nice when they finally get it right. :)

No, I didn't really feel any difference in power with the new cat, I just figured if I am redoing the entire exhaust system, might as well replace the cat while I'm at it.

I can post a pic, but it will have to wait to Sunday or Monday, If it ever stops raining. Post it as soon as I can
