New updates with RPoS13... [pics]

Hey guys, here are some pics and clearances for you to rabble over. The wheels are R33 GTR 17x9 +30 with 5mm spacers (effective offset for all you slow-pokes= +25mm). I did this not only to widen track in front (yah stability) but actually because the wheel wieghts for balancing were hitting the pretty purple springs. *tick tick tick tick tick*

This is with the suspension compressed by a hydrolic jack to gauge a ride height. Here would be a just about normal ride height. Later on you will see a track ride height...

Not much clearance (damn lower bracket). This is with 5mm spacer and "road height".

This is clearance with "track height". I actually got MORE clearance this way, because the lip was rotating in between the coils... :smirk: :p

The goods. The coilover on the right is "street" and left is "track".

misc. shot. The bumper is "sagging" because I need to modify the USDM bumper support and its also not bolted up (duh).

Anyway, I wish i had my rear A-ARMS!!! and balljoints!!! and horn button!! And gauge cluster!!! **AAAAAAHEM** But yah thats what i did for part of my day, oh and btw, the calipers are R32 (non-GTR), with Z32 30mm rotors. Rotor cap offset is fine, and calipers may indeed be identical but hey I only compared them to 26mm Z32. :smirk: :p sorry.

Also, what are some suggestions on color? I want to know what is popular (and then do the opposite. LOL j/k... or am I???).

Oh and BTW tell me what you think those of you that haven't seen my car before. Hehehe. Flame it. Jeer it. Point and laugh...

But yeah they make a version w/o the vent. What I would reccomend though is getting G-Grow Type I (or II) from www.autoimaging.com Why? I got this through www.skrperformance.com and Iwould not wish that experience upon anyone. They did come through with the product, but I won't conjecture any ideas as to why they tried to over charge me. So just for safety's sake, go to autoimaging. However, since no one has this kit in the US or distribute it and SKR DID get it for me (I gave them all Hotroad's contact info) you could theoretically do the same. IE if there s a bodykit NO ONE has and you have no connections, I bet SKR could get it. But talk to Anna, no one else!

Eyecandy... ehhh.... It is a lot nice in person (engine bay) and it looks like holy hell there, so i hate the pics of it. As for the wheels (thank's Mark) and the kit: thanks!! I look at the car with the wheels on and the kit off and say "Damn it would look bad ass with a chuki bumper and a zenki lip. I'm selling the kit!!" then I put it on for pictures and sit idle for 3 minutes as I urinate all over myself. It is really nice, i love kouki 180s.

the R33 ris were form a friend. Slide Squad Mark was selling them off his S14, and I got them from him once he lowered his price to something I could barely afford at the time. Haha. Thanks for listening to my persuasion, man...:D I owe all my car's looks to him and Aaron (cause Dousan made me keep the kit instead of sell it a few months ago. (But i think he did that to steal it from me... :( )). Price? Let's just say the market value is about $1700+ with tires (mine had 245/45/17 Potenza RE-010 in teriffic condition, but grip AIN'T my style...):D .

Ocupation: Design student and...errr I need to figure out I am going to do for a job this summer. grrr, still haven't decided.

I have had the wheels for almost a year, I sent them straight to Hawaii even when i still had my S14. Everything else (including car) was between October-December '02. I'm still trying to round up little goodies to finish it, but nothing major anymore. Yay. Most of the money came from selling my S14 and working 3 jobs in highschool.

oh yeah the anti-sway bars work GREAT. i was wondering why my car slid so easily and actually blamed it on the condition of the tarmac; however, nobody else thought the tarmac was any different - because they didn't have tanabe anti-sway bars! hahaaaaa :eek:

Hey is the DD5 an Ikaten event or an on-track event? Dooood. Last night was so good. It was totally natural and the S13 imo is much easier to control vs. the S14s. SOHC S13 at that and still I was busting them almost as fast as Keeks and he was at 1.1 bar. But yeah I am so lookign forward t the event. By that time I should have my own helmet (and painted too!). I plan on making a little "helmet painting/design" project once I get to SoCal, so Aaron, we need to go get me one soon.

Also, i got a tip from a paint guy when i went into the shop today. For all you non-pro sprayers: take off as many body panels as you can (fenders, doors, hood, light covers (pop ups), bumpers, sideskirts, etc...) and lay them flat on the ground (in the booth). Then spray them all seperately (depending on size of booth, you may need to take a few off at a time). Anyway, you spray them flat (less runs and peels) and then reassemble after dry. Sweetness....;)

Yah, i'm leaving paradise Saturday (Red-eye flight. Land in LAX 5am Sunday). My helmet is going to be metallic pink, chrome, and probably a Kei-Office type of green.
