brake calipers....
The Q45 calipers I have are rusting since I attempted to polish them, then ran out of time, and now with no coating, they're rusting, which isn't good. Need to throw some paint on them bisches!!
I'm wondering if they make any good shades of pink for brake calipers. That would scream badass on a black car with silver trim.....
Or maybe gold???
I don't really care. Just wondering what would be insanely stupid to paint my calipers. If something good pops up, I just might do it (if only I can find a nice pink).

I think Yellow.. like some Competition Yellow Engine paint would work wonders on a black car.

bling bling rust color! ;)
seriously, Silver or a conservative dark or light shade would look nice on your car. Depends on what the rest of your car's color scheme is, =p. brembo gold would look great too.
i went for red, but thats only because i love the combination of back and red.

either polish them, like you did your valve cover. or paint them black. either way apply many clear coats.

I painted my calipers well over a year ago, i just used some greased lighting to clean em up. They got some blemishes but not too bad for calipers painted over a year ago.....one of these days, i should touch em up...
RINKU
Black or Polished.
Anyone have a writeup on whats needed to polish your Alumi Calipers? What kind of clear coat should you use? Actually, I remember a thread on this, ill try the search

Hmm... bronze might be nice, kind of like the brembo's?? The brembo's seem more bronzish than gold.....
I'm gonna head out and see if I can't find pink caliper paint or pink high temp paint at least. I'm pretty set on pink. A baby blue like my oil filter might work too.
As for the polka dots, I don't think it would work since there isn't enough visible surface on the calipers......
I just got a suggestion from one of my FWD friends:
White
That might be interesting...... never seen white calipers before :p

remember, the lighter the color, the more your gonna have to clean them. White won't be white for long..
Maybe a pastel green.. :) that way they look gay, but not girlie.
or light brown.. nobody does brown.

Oh you should def go Bengal's colors:

seriously, some bright orange with black tiger stripes would look badass behind anyone's wheels. Its a safe bet that no one has tried it before, or will after. And nothing says first round draft pick next year like that color scheme.

i painted mine white, they match my whole color scheme good. I painted them with the G2 kit, you have to mix a solution in with the paint and it makes like a clearcoat.

Well, the metallic gold would be as close to that as I could get..... high temp paint colors aren't very easy to find in cool colors though.
