help...hood wont latch

i know i installed it right...it was latching fully for about 6 months...then all of a sudden...it stopped fully latching..no matter how hard i started slamming or pushing it...any suggestions?

Yes, this happened to me.

Sometimes, the hook does not line up with the latch.....it goes in front of it or behind it.....try bending the hook forward or backward....look in the gap to see where it is hitting.

same thing happened to me, bought a new hood latch cable and my problems were solved.

Adjust the hood latch all the way up to see if it catches, then slowly adjust it down. Sometimes slamming the hood a lot gets it out of alignment.

Exactly. When mine wasn't catching, it turned out that the hook was out of alignment (in front to back direction, from front of car toward bacK) with the latch.

Like I said, you should be able to peer in there and see exactly where it's hitting.
