^^^One of these questions pops up once or twice EVERY WEEK!!! Search please. Mods should make a sticky "Cant rev past [number] rpm."
Most logical answer you will recieve is, its your maf.
EDIT: Plus, with your fully built sr20det show car, how do you now know!!! like i said, stick with your "monsta civic"

^^sr's are a simple engine, and I deal with them all the time, and my 240sx that im selling has a standalone and has a map sensor not a maf sensor. But on my other 240 its not my MAF sensor or else I wouldnt be posting here..... ?Im just trying to figure out other possiblitys that I havent already checked.

Your CA has a MAP sensor? I thought they were MAF...
As you know, can't rev past 2500 is almost always a MAF/MAF Circuit issue..
Have you tried pulling the codes from the ECU?

We need more info. The only suggestion you're going to get with that limited amount of information is "check your codes". So go check them.

Your car came stock with a standalone? Time to edit your first post too.
Sounds like you could possibly have a 2-step enabled, or you're leaning out at 3k rpm's. Other problems could be a malfunctioning CAS, or ignitor.
We still need more information. What standalone are you using?

if it were me i'd check a bunhc of things.
what makes you think it isn't the maf?
check your throttle position sensor.
how is your idle?
what changed? did you recently go on a spirited drive?
try resetting your ECU (unplug battery)
do you have any other symptoms?
wtf.............?
Tuning based on MAP and IAT's instead of MAF. Similar to Alpha-N tuning.

(and no some guy was talking about my other car that has a stand alone)
I used a knowen good MAF in the car, also pulled all the wiring out and did find some wires that were croded and grounds not connected properly. I have put it back in and still same problem, it will stay idle but not rev past 3k

I bought the car as is, with the problem thinking yes it was MAF but find out its not, now dont flame me on this one buying a car with a problem, but $500 is hard to beat and find for a running turbo s13 coupe. But I will check out other stuff including the ignitors ect tomorrow when Its light out, thinking i might just pull out the engine and do a build, as soon as my s14 sells

yeah...nice...
anyways... cough - sounds like a BAD MAP to me
Check the wiring to your MAP sensor as well as the Air Temp sns.
Sounds like the exact issue to me.
PS what ECU is it? maybe I can help you with a base map for your unit so your car doesnt run like total ass, PM me
