looking into getting some coils for my s14, have heard alot of good things about stance and have heard things about powered by max's coilovers just not a whole lot.

just wanting to know which is more user friendly or just a over all better coilover. and if you have any feed back from the shops if they have pretty good customer service.

thanks

Depends what you're using the car for.

You don't know? He wants a coilover that is as comfortable as stock for DD. But he still plans on going to the track MAYBE. If he does go to the track he wants to drift/race/autocross/gykhana/drag race.

stance lx should suit your dd needs.

You have to adjust Stance dampening from the BOTTOM of the strut assembly, as in underneath the car. Yikes.

Max coilovers are not comfortable or anywhere near as soft as stock in any comparable way. I have a brand new set with 6kg springs in front and 8kg in the rear (Which is the softer setup) and they are still pretty stiff, adjusting the dampener to soft just makes it bouncier. That being said I enjoy the coils immensely and I don't mind having a stiff setup, I assume they will do well when I finally get to the track. As far as something for a comfortable DD I don't think maxes would be good for that, also they go extremely low so if you want slammed they are great for that

I don't post much but since i might be able to help with this i will.

The Stance LX+ is a great coilover and will be comfortable. It's similar in build to the Tein Flex, twin tube damper.

Due to its NON INVERTED nature the adjustments are at the top of the damper.

This only pertains to the front of the vehicle anyways. The rear will always be on top because the dampers shouldn't be inverted. Inverted dampers are for MacPherson strut geometries.

Long story short, Stance LX+ will give you a great DD coilover if road conditions are not ideal. For the non competitive, wanna compete in a class, track driver these would also be great since they still run good spring rates. I actually had their S14 Basic coilovers, now discontinued, on one of my S14's and they were SOOOO NICe. These are their replacement and I'm sure they will ride even nicer.

I also know that Stance is extremely supportive of their product in my experiences. Replacement dampers, collars, any piece of the darn thing and they should have it in stock. i bought stance because they seemed to be the best supported affordable coilover i could find and i was very pleased with them. I've had the GR+ on a FC, FD, and SC300 all purchased from Vex, not sure but they used to be a forum vendor if you wanna track them down. bol....

haha that made me lol a lil, but no its going to be a track car/ somewhat of a daily.

ive heard MAX are kinda bad for DD but not like your going to kill yourself bad, i can deal. i just got a quote back from them for coils and rucas for 1234 or something like that. and no one around here has heard of them so i think ill just be a cool kid and get them ahhah

Ya if this is more of a track car then the GR+, monotube damper, would be the way to go.

but good luck with pbm. do a side to side comparison with one of your friends who has stance and let us know.

PoweredByMax. I daily my car on them and I fucking love them. They perform great, and they AREN'T that stiff, contrary to popular belief. I've never been in a car with Stance coilovers, and I have heard great things about them. It was either between DMax, JIC, Stance or PBM for me but I rode in my friend's car on PBM and just had to get them.

It's all up to personal preference.

PBM Is the only way i will ever go. Nice price nice ride nice quality. Super legit colors.

And best of all, Replacement parts are avaliable if something happens to the coilover. AND they are cheap if need to buy replacements.
