Hey guys. Just seeing if there is anyone nice enough to help me out. I've got a NISTUNE ECU i purchased from a forum member but didnt get the consult cable nor the software just the ECU.
I'll be getting a tune next weekend and would like to know if anyone could email me a .bin file for my ECU so i can at least flash my ROM to that and drive my car over to the shop and have it tuned. My buddy will be able to upload the .bin for me all i need is your help to set it up with my specs!
Thanks in advance.

I hope you got a license with that hardware, you'll need it to download and open the software. Once you do that, you'll be able to load your Address file and open the factory .bin file for your ECU. After that, you'll need to use the injector multiplier to compensate for the over sized injectors and also switch to Z32 MAFS. That will be sufficient to get the car to the dyno.
You, yourself can't do anything with Nistune without the software license. Even if I sent you a .bin file, you couldn't do anything with it.

Yeah I know I myself can't load it but a guy I know has the license to do so. I've asked him to set me up with a .bin file but he's unaware of SR's. He has a z32 TT and does it himself, and he tells me if I just get the bin file he'll upload it for me so I can atleast drive my car to the shop to have it tuned.
Would greatly appreciate it if you could help me out.
Thanks a million.

if you do not have a nistune user liscence all the bin files in the world wont help you, without a consult same thing, you cannot access the ecu without the software and the consult.

So you're saying if I hook up my nistune ECU and take my car to a shop to get tuned which has the license and the consult cable they wouldn't be able to tune my ECU?
If you would have taken the time to read everything than you would have read that I know a guy that has the license and the consult cable to access my ECU but he's not fimiliar with SR's....therefore if someone helps me with a bin file for my setup he can flash my ECU to tha setup so I then can drive it to the shop to get tuned....
Anyone kind enough to help?

I would, but I'm not going to risk the responsibility that something might happen to your car, my fault or not, on the way there. One thing to note, is if your consult port is even hooked up. We all realize that you have an ECU equipped with the board but if you have not wired in a consult plug, there is no way to access it.

Ok if the shop has the tuner license then he can just load the address file and make a bin from scratch for you. It should take a whole 30 seconds to get the bin set for your injectors and maf. Then he will tune it on the dyno for you. Tell him to download the rom pack that located on the nistune webpage.
***ninja edit**** here is the rom pack with the factory rom files and address http://nistune.com/secret_squirrel/NIStune_ROM_Pack_2.1.exe
The confusion here is that everyone thinks you want the bin right now to put onto your nitune ecu without a consult cable. To me it sounds like you want the bin to take with you so you can swap ecu's at the shop and have him tune your car?

I was tiled by 4x4l here on the forum that all 91'+ already have the consult plug wired in. I've got a 95 and located the little white plug next to my driver side kick panel. I'm sure I'm good on the consult plug.
If I hook up my z32 I was told my car would die due to my ecu not reconizing it. I NEED the bin file to load up the base map to my ECU so I can at least drive my car with the z32 maf to the shop to get my ECU tuned!

You can download Nistune and use it one time as a trial. Just don't close it or the trial will expire. You should be able to get yourself a bin file then. If that doesn't work email Matt the creator of Nistune, maybe he will help u out.

Your car has the plug but do you have the cable (consult cable)? Without the cable and the nistune software you can't upload your bin to the ecu.

I can't help but I can read. What he is trying to say is he has ECU only. He has a friend with cable and software but only knows how to tune z32s. If someone can get him a temporary bin file that will be nice. It will be nice because he needs some kind of rough tune so he can drive it to a shop, which will then tune his ECU.
So basically to break it down. Friend nearby with cable, who can load tune. Need a bin file so friend can load a temporary tune, so that he can safely get to a shop. The shop with a dyno will then give him a real tune.

Right so download the trial. Make your bin file. Save it to a flash drive, burn it to a disc. Take it to your friend and have him load it onto your ECU.

It's really that easy?
It will have a drop down box or something and I can select s15 480cc injectors and a z32 MAF?

Yea it's not that hard. If you go to the nistune website there's some really good documentation to show u how it works. If you just need a bin file to get u to the tuner i don't see a problem with it.
