There is an allen plug under the water pump on my sr20 i think it may be leaking something but i dont know what it is, and it dosnt seem to want to come out. What is this thing?

I think what you are talking about a weep hole on the water pump. If its leaking, that means you are in need of a new one.

Not that, its on the block under the water pump, it looks like a plug and you can use an allen to get it out... idk wtf it is though

Oil or water galley, they are all over the block, can be removed to rod out the insides of the passages if needed.

Using a thin piece of metal or a big pipe cleaner to clean out the passages of crud and build up

oh ok, do you know what the torque on one of those plugs is on the S13 SR? or where there is any info about it?
It looks like it holds the "chain guide".
From the FSM that is what it looks like.
Torque specs is 9-14 ftlbs.
nah doesnt hold the guide in place. those are inside the timing cover.. like mirage said its a plug for a water/oil galley

Yeah it is definitely a drain plug can anyone figure it out if its for coolant or oil? I would appreciate it. I feel like i need to get it out and reseal it. We tried to get it off but it will not budge at all. Now im paranoid we even took a ratchet to it to get it off i feel like its gonna cause problems lol.
