Hey guys, I am having a huge issue with the Power FC D Jetro I just bought. I was hoping some of the more experienced members on this site could help me out.

I went to install the PFC on my USDM convertible with a swapped redtop sr and completely failed. The car cranks but will not turn over. Also, the commander is not turning on. This is just a plug and play ECU so I was confused. I plugged the stock ECU back into the car and it started up fine.

I decided to try the PFC in my JDM Silvia which also has a factory installed redtop sr. I bolted it in and it works perfectly; commander turns on and everything.

Does anyone know what is wrong?

Do your Silvia and your convertible use the same ECU? One might be using a E5 and the other might be using a 63 ECU.

Redtop SR uses a 62 ECU. The PFC is a SR2014 (414AN014). If you don't have that ECU, chances are you need to repin. Maybe WA_Sileighty can help you. He has this PFC as well.

The part number for my PFC is SR2014 so it should be the correct one.

The Silvia uses a 62 ECU. The vert originally used a 62 ECU but a few months ago, the MAFS wire shorted on the exhaust manifold and burnt the stock ECU. I replaced it with a E5 ECU from a blacktop.

Make sure your ECCS Wire is continuous and wired in your battery area wiring on both sides. It is thin red wire with black stripe. I have noticed a lot of people who are upgrading their EMS having issues with their swap not having this done. Stock ecus will work ok without it in many cases but the Power FC needs it to have contant power and switch power sources
