Does nebody know if the 240sx 1997-1998 and the S14 silvia has the SAME EXACT body?

Yes they do, except for a front bumper I believe. Someone correct me if I am wrong. Maybe a different spoiler to.

Asking about one kinda implies having intrest in one.

Face it though. Most 240sx new commers often times show intrest in the mcS14 as what they want. This is posibly due to super street influence and much more mainstream coverage of S14's particulary the kouki model. Many of the newbies dont want an S13 hatchback or coupe, or a zenki S14, all they want a is a kouki s14 or nothing.

define exact. If you're really anal, then there are some slight differences between the USDM and JDM s14.

i'm pretty sure USDM has more front and rear bumper support. 240sx is heavier than the Silvia s14 for reasons other than a bigger engine. Exterior has small differences, like front bumper, different corner lights, badging, and JDM s14 had a lot more options. Optional window trim, aero packages. But most of that stuff can be purchased used from Japan.

No, its not really a Silvia as it wasn't sold as one, but its the same car, a S14.

It's just slighty annoying to me that all the new 240SX guys are either wanting to:

buy a:

mcS14 and put on a "silvia body kit"

zenki S14 and do a "silvia conversion"
what ever the hell that means. (being that the zenki besides the bumper already technically is a sivia front)

buy a hatch back and do a "sil80 conversion"

The 240sx newbies just seem to be very mislead.

dude, stop being such a hypicrite, you were like that before you got your Kouki s14. Don't tell me if you had to buy another car you would rather have a Zenki.

Fact is, Kouki headlights are nicer than Zenki ones in most people's opinions. I admit that i hated the Zenki look when i first got my car. I can't blame noobs for wanting a Silvia face on their s13 or a Kouki/strawberry on their s14 because when I was a noob, i felt the same friggen way.

Yes, they have EXACTLY the same chassis, but body-wise i'm not sure what way are you talking about? Front Bumper and Rear Bumper + K's rear wing are different, but you can get them installed in 97~98 240sx without any problems.

Bodies are the same...and bumpers are the same unless you are dealing with a "K's" Silvia. Then the front is just different to accomodate the intercooler. Silvia "Q's" and "J's" are the same.

Go S13 though and you can't lose. S-13 Silvias are cooler. ....or move to Japan and get an S-15:D .
