Selling a persaonalized license plate.

i have a personalized license plate from my old MS3 that i got to keep when i when i traded it in. i was wondering if you are able to sell the license plate to a private party? i know if i keep paying the annual fee i can keep the license plate, but im not sure if its alright to sell. anyone have experience with this?

ive searched, it says to call the DMV, but thats a joke.

i think you can,
you can officially sell it, but u can "donate" it to another party
and do some paper work so you can get the plates transferred lol

old muscle car ppl or classic car people buy the original black plates for
like 1k from other owners
