Well for those of you who remember about two months ago my car got impounded for driving with a sus. lic. originally i was pulled over for having a modified exhaust. the impound fees came out to $1100.

so my court date was today and i plead guilty and the sentence was a fine for $700 w/ 3 yrs. probation, at least I didn't get jail time. this is the second time that i get a v.c. 14601.1 or whatever so i was expecting jail time. but the judge was cool. and she was like "next time it'll be jail time for sure" some other guy who had 2 prior license suspensions got 30 days in county jail plus the $700 fine.

well there u have it, reasons for not driving with a suspended license. learn from my mistakes, do as i say not as i do:p

well, i have a job and bills to pay. and public transportation i tried, and didn't like. i understood the risk i was taking and decided i'd deal with the consequences if i were to get pulled over, and so i did. now i gotta pay for my actions.

also if u (or anyone else im sure) were told you can't drive for six months, i don't think you'd be able to do it even if it is the law.

i mean we all break laws, and are aware of the consequences but we choose to run the risk anyway. i don't have anything against those who enforce the laws either(as long as they don't abuse their power) so if i get caught, oh well. my fault.

completely agree with you. If I couldnt drive for 6 months I would too. I have lots of friends who do it. And you always learn in the end that you cant beat the system in the long run, some people are more stubborn with it, like you and me!

didn't LIKE public transportation? you'd rather spend 700 bucks and risk possible jail time than take the bus?

oooooooooooooooooooooook.

if i didn't have gigs and needed to haul around my cabs/basses/etc often i could easily go 6 months without driving my car. hell, if i didn't have gigs i wouldn't have a car.

a reckless(sp?) driving (that wasn't my fault [long story, public pretenders suck]) and a some speeding tickets, basically too many points in a short time. but the reckless was the main one.

You should ask for a Work only driver's permit. I don't know if that's offered up there, but atleast it is in Florida.
